I guess there's nothing stopping us having 2 opening GBs... how much more British could we get than Spits & Coldwar British jets?
Sounds like a good compromise to me - Which era though in the Cold war? 194? - 1990 seems a bit too open. 1960's would be good
-
Well this is a good start -

Lets all do a Lightning - (No P38's either) - Corporate theme as it were. Anyone desperate for a Spit can always stick a prop on the nose.
Deal or no Deal?

Go for it - I built an F2 a couple of years back and I have recently been adding some after sales stuff - RBF's etc. Got a big urge this morning to get another one this w/e and start a build on ZH809 - she was the Admirals Barge display ship from the 2005 season. Will make a very interesting challengs, all that Brown staining - not!

Liked this on ARC Darren - nicely presented too mate

I'd happily go for a Spit - lots of variety there. But as an alternative, Id like to throw in "British Cold war - 1960's only" - take your pick within that lot.

then just imagine the tanks come off a river bank and entered the water
so push down on the front of the tank then the back of the tank
Are we making Brrrm noises while were doing this by any chance?

a Phantom for the GB on UAMF
Jen.
UAMF - whats this then Jen?

As most of us appear to build British anyway, maybe we should get our first GB up and running.
Who's in?

You can imagine the Insurance claim now.......
Reason for claim - Low flying jet flew into me.

Did you call the emergency services - No the Air force
What is the estimated damage to the other vehicle - $500,000

I share your pain Mike. Thankfully SAM keeps me entertained each month, but there are a few really good modelling publications around now - works out quite costly some weeks.

I too have to confess to doing a lot of "right clicking" when you built your Tonka John. A truly awesome build though.

Wow! Truly awesome photos, especially given the poor lighting. The first (Lynx) shot my pick of the bunch.
Any Jag detachment pics?

Oh dear - the seller has just posted on ARC (in Buy & Sell) saying Ebay took exception with his listing description...if I read it correctly. Back to the beginning again.
Right guys, our chance.

I think your right Mike - Aeroclub use some kind of rubberised moulds which restrict them to a limited production life.
-
Now £380 with 3 hours to go - I bet whoever's leading the bidding is brickin it!

So, now for a question. Does anyone have any idea as to the sizes of the serials on this jet? I can estimate the fuselage serials as they appear in many pictures however I need to determine the size of the underwing serials. Is there a standard pattern that these markings conform to?
Ed - according to AW's Jaguar profile, the under wing serials are 18" with 24" roundels all round. As these are then the same size as the older Green /Grey scheme under wing serials, if you like (and if you trust em) I can measure up my old Esci decals for you?
Cheers,
Gary

I received my 3rd Aviation Workshop "On target" profile today - No 10 Sepecat Jaguar. I know this one has had some critics but my other 2 (both Canberra's) are a just fantastic. A true modellers reference.
Highly recommended folks.

Anything on APC at Akrotiri Neil?
-
Count me in Ed on those hinges - doing a T4 right now. Anything on the Canberra's too.

Here's a plan - we all chip in and buy it. Mike casts it in resin, and we sell em all on as the Britmodeller Avro Vulcan. Money for old rope

-
Wow - wish I had 2 of these. 1 to make and one to sell. £261 so far!!

It looks like it's tinted John - the cover shot of the fairly new TSR2 Aeroguide, shows a canopy up view, looking diagonally upwards and the glass is definately not clear.
Try a Google Image search
