No dising your modelling skills Darius, but that nose shape

I've seen some of these at shows and your F4 is A1 Neil - just love your Hawk though. Respect

Thats nice Zeke mate -

Tidy build and finish Darius - such an ugly aircraft though

-
Jen - Got any Airfix GR3's or Buccaneer SB2's in your stash? They both come with the SNEB pods. You could put a wanted ad on ARC - The market place/Arms trade.

Thanks Cop, I'm afraid it's not a Lightning

Gary, I think I'm supposed to fit the recce pod, but I don't really want to because it's ugly. I have several pics of 41 Sqn Phantoms at this time, including a couple of 495, and they have quite a variety of stores fitted. I was planning to fit the big wing tanks and a set of Sidewinders.
Of course, I'm open to suggestions from those with more knowledge then me (most of you!)
Jen.
No your right Jen, 41 & 2 sqn Phantoms come to that, were often seen with the centre line SU23 guns. If your looking for accuracy, I'd steer clear of arming her with sidewinders though. Mostly these were seen with Sergeant fletcher 300 Gal wing tanks and either SNEB pods or CLB200's (?) practice bomb dispensers). I'm sure sidewinders were used, but not a regular fit I don't believe. Dont forget your strike camera too :whistling:

Best Mk of Spitfire - great idea spinning the props.

Your paint job came out great - Recce pod?
-
You do like em big Sean
Very nice -
I followed the build of this when you were making the inside of the fuselage - truely amazing modelling.

Which Mk would it be?
Andy

How'd I miss this one - more importantly, how can you afford one of these John? Those belts look so good - trust your showing em off with the canopy up.

Are the Canberras that the RAF sold off and were subsequently parked up at RAF Kemble by Delta Air still airworthy?
While painting the fence this afternoon I could have sworn that it was a Canberra that flew overhead in a south easterly direction, either that or a Meteor but the wing looked too wide for a Meteor.
Andy
It was most likely Martin Bakers Meteor - It was at Brize on Tuesday I think. Yes the Canberra's are airworthy (having been at Kemble since last July) but not have flown since.

1989 Copster darling.
I'm pretty sure it's Cold War *during the* 1960's though...
Yep - tooooooo varied if not. The classic era you might say

Seen this before - nicely done and great weathering.

Wondering if the Merlin mod will change the nose configuration to the current RAF, or leave the SAR radar in? Would be nice.

I`m offering up a kit from my stash for the winner of the GB. Its not much but its something. A 1/48 Corsair by Academy. I may well drop in another if theres enough entries. So lets get some more votes for the Lightning!!
Mike have we some gold envelopes to announce the winner?
Not too up on Academy kits - is this the A7 or F4U variety?
-
Very nice diorama - seems strange to see RN SK's in this scheme.

well there's a surprise. Only yesterday I pulled out some old SAM's dating from 1999 2 of which were your write up's on the Lightning (part 1 & 2). I was a bit gutted to read that your T5 conversion fit very nicely - I'm working on one right now, and it's a bitch to say the least.
Nice work as always anyway Bill
