  1. GIT I know you'll make a fantastic job out of this, so now my mind is made up for sure - time for a change.
  2. Nowt - try £400 for a half decent DSLR

    Klear/Future

Will - go for it you'll love the stuff. Klear wont harm decals in fact to the contrary I use it to adhere my decals whether Its a gloss finish or not. Some under the decal, some on top - it hides the decal film. I sprayed it on at first, but lost patience after the first 10 hours - quite slow, but I was looking for a high gloss finish. I use a broad brush generally, except when I use Klear as a "sealer" then I spray it on and Matt over the top.
  4. Thanks Phil - I replied to your PM mate. I also saw your question re Neomaga/Pavla and I don't think there's any link between them, but the Neomega set looks much superior in it's detail. That's the baby I want!
  5. I may have a problem though, and have to switch to something else. No way I'm building this with the kits standard pit, and Neomega are having some supply delays at the moment. If I cant pick one up PDQ, I will change subjects I know Pavla do a Brick pit, but from images I've seen its not half as good as Neomega's and doesn't look that good - maybe wrong here?
  6. I think they're an accomodating bunch at Marham. I once got a tour of 2 squadrons ops room, kit room and saw a GR4 first hand inside a HAS. Their web site is also very informative, and useful to have a look see too.
  7. why not consider filling the gaps with styrene/plastic then instead?
  8. Metal coat hangers can come in very useful too - you straighten one out, secure it somewhere and hang the kit (if there is somewhere suitable) on the hook. You can also bend the hanger so many ways that you can sit the kit on it as a stand.
  9. Wow - the Somme springs to mind. Seems you have the edge Grant. If you can make her look half decent, you'd have done a remarkable job. Good luck with her.
  10. RAF for start Karl, which means I am very (very) limited on options. 12 squadron were the first RAF unit to take delivery and that happened in October 1969 (2 months inside the GB dates) therefore LAG undersides, Tactical camouflage in a nice shiny finish. just like this baby
  11. Right you lot, just nailing my flag to the washing line - A brick for me.
  12. Anything you two want to tell us? Sounds like an extract from Star Wars
  13. I've found one in a book I have -B&W with XM968 being refuelled in 1963. She's wearing a yellow vertical band (rear fuselage) and the entire nose section forward of the leading edge of the wing, appears to be White??? Happy to take a digy pic of it if you want Nev?
  14. A round of applause is in order - Lovely finished Spit.
  15. Oi, you guys making all these little models - that's cheating! Full marks for getting straight off the blocks Sean.
  16. Not unless we were solely developing it and footing the bill ourselves.
  17. Nice pics John - do I recognise these from either UKAR or FC?
  18. for the T11/19 having just studied some pics, how about this as a suggestion. When you tob the nose section of the Canberra, use roled styrene to give you the first round section. Would a Lightning nose cone be in the region of the correct scale to acheive the point?
  19. Nice one Darius - that looked like a challenging but very satisfying build
  20. Wing tanks already done - LAG undersides and weathered Jens
  21. Never been a big fan of the Scimitar, but stumbled on this today - looks pretty good finished as she is. Here
  22. The White tanks just look too clean for my likeing Bill, although both inner and outer hard points will be White. Port side, 2 x SNEB pods, Stbd side - ? Would have been the same, but I've only got one TER so I need to sift through some books for reference material.
