  1. Ebay has nothing to do with this. It looks like an omission from the part of the retailer: he chose Europe, Americas and Asia as destinations and simply forgot to consider Australia as possible business-generating place. I'm in the E.U. and before buying (actually pre-ordering) the kit I tried to contact the seller on ebay to find out about a combined postage option. I did not receive any reply until after the moment I actually pressed the "Buy Now" button on the Mirage and the other kit I was after - I committed to buying the kits without knowing what the P&P costs would be... Luckily they turned out to be more than bearable So, the lack of communication has nothing to do with the continent If there's no other source for the kit, keep buzzing them directly on their site and if everything else fails we will find a willing soul ready to play the relay, buy a kit and redirect it to the southern hemisphere (P&P costs might be an issue but that can be further investigated if necessary). Cheers, Niki
  2. Well, maybe we could all agree that those decals that you're linking at do look nice [and I only point at the cockpit piece] from a specific angle. The picture in your link is showing THAT angle brilliantly. Unfortunately, as you move your head around the nose of the aircraft the nicely printed details just cannot keep up the pace with... 'reality' Clear parts it is for me also (or plain black window [silver framed where applicable] decals) but it's nice to have a choice
  3. Thanks for showing us a built up model of this new Trumpeter release! And nicely built it is too Could you still move the under wing tanks to the outer pylons and the training PLs to the inboard ones? Or can the JL-9 (as opposed to its MiG-21 grandpa) carry 'wet' stuff inboard?
  4. That box art is awesome! But I don't see the TOW in the box!?...
  5. As discussed, Hasegawa has included the ADF & MLU airframe specific parts, including strengthening plates - I'm not sure these are self adhesive though, going by the machine translated instructions... However, Hasegawa wouldn't be Hasegawa if it weren't for such details as can be seen on the bottom half of this instruction page : http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10342080/10/0
  6. Glad to have been of help! And rest easy, that 'bit of google time' part was somewhat of an understatement: google didn't bring me much further either, only some 45-50 minutes of digging through the Laage Airfield spotter topics at www.flugzeugforum.de could do the trick. Here's a link to page 131 of the 2012 topic from where on 30+73 is mentioned and shown (albeit you'd need an account to view pictures...).
  7. Here are a couple links as they result from consulting the Tornado SIG forum,F.2 Prototype Decals topic: http://s702.photobucket.com/user/peebeep/media/Tornado/F2.jpg.html http://s702.photobucket.com/user/peebeep/media/Tornado/logo.jpg.html http://s702.photobucket.com/user/peebeep/media/Tornado/test.jpg.html http://s702.photobucket.com/user/peebeep/media/Tornado/panavia.jpg.html Maybe they can be of help in case you still cannot get hold of 'peebeep' or even find some other ready made decals. Cheers, P.S.: there is Xtradecal sheet 48003 that contains markings for F.2 ZD935 and that can still be found for purchase on-line, although I'm not sure that you're after this particular airframe's markings!?
  8. After a bit of google time, I'd say this: 30+20 got the anniversary titles in 2009 for 50 years JG73 and 5 years Eurofighter operations. 30+73 flew initially with JG74 but came 2012 to JG73 where, due to the '73' it got JG73 special markings. So, seems that anniversary markings only graced 30+20 which lost them sometime around 2013 (?). 30+20 and 30+73 got to fly together more than once each with its anniversary/ special markings. Cheers, Niki
  9. Thanks for the update, Jorge! I've been holding my breath for an F-101A/C...
  10. Ok, I'll say it: Those MiG-21 wings don't look that bad attached to the TSR.2's fuselage... Congrats on a nice build!
  11. Hi Rob, Not a reader myself but you can get a [small bit of a]n idea about the cover page - content relation by taking a glimpse at the KF issues on sale here (cover and sample pages shown): http://www.ebay.com/sch/kadenaairline/m.html?item=181880412047&hash=item2a58ead78f&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562 Cheers, Niki
  12. The colours are spot on and there is the exact amount of weathering for my taste. That's how I'd like to finish an Alicat myself. Cheers, Niki

  14. I also couldn't find anything resembling a picture of a Mi-2 in these markings (which is what I suppose you're referring to): I've only learned from a couple of Russian language on-line sources that they've had at least a [fatal?] crash with the type [Mi-2] in 2006, so I wonder if what you saw is an active bird or some sort of ground training aid!?
  15. Well, the above pictured finished model is not crafted from the upcoming ARK kit but from the resin one by Neomega...: http://karopka.ru/community/user/8573/?MODEL=295604
  16. Matthias, like all your builds this one also looks absolutely stunning: carefully glued together, painted and weathered! Those Sidewinders also look nice, but they are most likely not the proper version that the AMX is carrying (I'm looking at the front end fins...). Was there something wrong with the kit items? Once again, a wonderful "Rollout" Cheers, Niki
  17. Hi Orlando, Let me be the first to congratulate you on a lovely build, great detailing, painting and picture taking I still ponder about trying my hand at a 72nd scale Mach2 kit or going for this Heller 1/50 example...
  18. Would the Liveries Unlimited sheet be out of question for you?
  19. That's an absolutely lovely finish: the detailing, painting and weathering! Well done! One detail that I seem to remember about the ML(D) is that - as opposed to earlier Floggers - it didn't have that 'laid back' attitude but did sit rather straight/ parallel to the ground. Too bad R.V. didn't capture that... picture source: http://www.airwar.ru/enc_e/fighter/mig23mld.html
  20. Those are really nice paintings (unless my eyesight has completely failed me ).
  21. Lovely finish! Always a treat to see an airliner off your production line
  22. Well, no PF but a Fishbed two-seater on the cover of this book which promises more pictures from the days of the invasion: There is another small picture that I found in two other books (one of which is Yefim Gordon's "MiG-21") that portrays a big[ger] spine Fishbed (labelled as a MiG-21S) sporting the red stripes. No PF so far, but maybe the shown book is worth getting!? L.E.: scroll down here for a small excerpt of the said book - there are indeed some tiny pictures of red-striped MiGs (again no PF on the two shown pages - maybe on others ). One of the caption tells about "PFs and PFMs being the most widely used Soviet fighters in Operation Danube".
  23. Just in case anyone in the future gets to the same problem point as me, I have found in the Tornado SIG an In-Progress of turning an F.3 into an F.2: http://s13.zetaboards.com/Tornado_SIG/topic/838462/1/
  24. For the Moshel I might be able to break my promise and get one example of this latest effort by R.V. (i.e. Mirage III series) after all...
