  1. I share Steve's thoughts on this one, and would like to do a seaplane. I've seen Seaplane GB's on other forums, but, always too late, and their nearly done. Hopefully, this one will get off the water.
  2. Great group of photos, I know how hard it can be when there are crowds about. I'm glad to see the "Dakota Kid II" is still showing. When I photograped her in 2010, she was for sale at +/- 2,000,000.00us. I was short 1,999,999.99 or I would have had her.
  3. Wow! It's the first I've seen of this. Well done. The pilot looks determined, for sure.
  4. Very well done, Brian. The weathering looks great and not over-burdened. Well done, indeed!
  5. Hmmm! I don't have any bombers in my collection, yet. How about a 1/72 Wellington in 424 or 425 colors. Mark me down please.
  6. I do like the notion of this GB, so you might note my participation. I'm brand new here. Might do a C-46, C-47, or a 737-500. Not sure yet, but will make up my mind when the time comes. Ben
  7. Yes Paul, Whitecourt has a very long runway for a town of 9000. Our airport is the most busy Municipal District airport in Alberta. It's used for everything from chopper training through oil and gas field access, plus forestry work. Even used to have our own airline servicing the oil sands, but thats now history. Here's a bunch more photo's from the "Wings Over Whitecourt" Airshow, 2010. P-51's always look good, no matter what the background clutter. There was a Harvard: There were some stunter's, like this Pitt's: And Whitecourt always seems to enjoy the 'SnowBirds' Display team: I sure hope you enjoy my photo's. Ben
  8. Thought you might like to see the great aircraft selection a small, rural town can attract if they have dedicated aviation enthusiast's. These from the Whitecourt, Alberta "Home Town Heroes" Airshow 2012. The Pitt's Special A Christen Eagle A Harvard Mk.IV And a CF-18 If there is interest, I'll post a quantity more photos of the wide variety of aircraft types that have visited our small town. We seem to have an airshow every second summer. Thanks for looking.
  9. I have this kit. It has kit decals suggesting 3 Spitfire Vc examples and one Seafire L.III example. The Seafire is as depicted on the box art; NN212 of 887NAS flying off of HMS Indefatigable, South West Pacific Fleet, August, 1945.
