  1. The cabin floor in our museums aircraft is wood.
  2. Best looking tank ever to pound ground. Very nice build.
  3. I find that thing so ugly it reminds me of a few poorer choices I made whilst on shore leave 🥴 But, if it gets the younglings into this hobby of ours then it can only be a good thing.
  4. One of my contemporary's. Quite a knowledgable chap.
  5. I'll need aftermarket transfer case, transmission rear seal front wheel bearings and some uni's. Oh wait, we're talking about a model, not my box. My mistake
  6. Hawker Sea Fury FB.11 VW.623 102/K of No. 805 Squadron, Royal Australian Navy. VW.623 was the first Warbird I ever worked on back in 1980 not long after my first posting to VC.724 Squadron. I soon woke up to myself and skidded off the the other side of the hangar where a certain twin tailed deHavilland lovely resided. Fisher Model & Pattern kit in 1/32 with added engine bay and wing fold WEM paint for the main colours, Humbrol 74 for the Hawker yellow and decals from the stash.
  7. I wish Only 2 of ours ended up in museums, 880 is at Nowra and 874 is in a museum in New Zealand The rest are still earning a crust with Draken International.
  8. We welcome you to the sanctum of the Professionals Preference brother Bill. May the blessing of the Lord Heineman be upon you.
  9. Miranda was so pleased she almost smiled
  10. Had the "pleasure" of putting oil and fuel into 273 at the 1988 airshow at NAS Nowra. The feeling of corrosion crackling all along the main spar was the main reason I declined to fly in it. Having heard from reliable sources that the wing is only good for 70% of its rated strength I'd be staying right away from it, those clowns are going to have an almighty accident one day with their current attitude and practices My monies on the Neppy
  11. *Caution: the following may contain traces of dits* I'd be up for a Scout in 48th. We had one on the Historic Flight and was the first one returned to airworthy. It had a massive issue with its IGV servo so at about 70% power it would start surging and compressor stall, unfortunately Muggins got lobbed into the back seat to record figures during and engine run however there is only a a very thin sheet of perspex between the aforementioned muggins and the recalcitrant Nimbus. Surges and compressor stalls aren't very much fun when they are right behind your bonce and tend to cause very unmanly outbursts. The gent running the project and I pinched a servo of the museums display engine and low and behold it the wee Nimbus was happy to pull 100% and drag the tiny blue beast skyward. Here endeth the dit.
  12. Even the announcement of the announcement has got people grumbling. What a miserable bunch we've become.
  13. Wessex and Land Rover, two examples of fine English engineering. Also known to leak fluids at similar rates. Damn fine build.
  14. Not so much used as existed in a symbiotic relationship.
  15. If I may direct your attention to the original quote, I said "You guys" not "You tentacled yobs" Do they have spectacles on that planet of yours? 😎
  16. "Do you get wafers with it?" (Seriously do I have to do every silly comment? Some of you guys are really letting the side down)
  17. It has the strengthening strips on the gun bay doors. I believe these were only fitted to the Swiss versions.
