What's this "Not a fighter" rubbish. Ours were more than happy to piff Sidewinders in a furball. -

Superb build, it looks just like one of the big oily sods. I'm interested in the chosen scheme, the side number and spinner colours are for 816 squadron but the NW is definitely Nowra. I wonder if it was a last minute change out for that cruise. Another mystery to solve. -
Not bad at all.

What bothers me is what a miserable bunch modellers are rapidly becoming. Ignore the good but P&M over anything error no matter how large or small. I think I shall buy one purely to deliberately and maliciously enjoy building it. -

Fully agree with this bit young Dave. I'd think that would be because that manufacturer doesn't care and makes a business model of near enough good enough. Has Airfix pooched a weapo rack? Indeed they have. But its a weapo rack with a bit in the wrong spot. So I'll ask a question of the group. Has any body bothered to contact Airfix and point out the error? Other than some of the previous comments on this thread, some of which I find extremely childish. Email them, you might be surprised -

Shipmates. At a book launch for the RAN Skyhawk an VC724/VF805 squadrons reunion the topic of conversation turned to why it had taken so long to have a book done and why hadn't the RAN's aircraft been covered. Long story short is muggins here got dobbed in for writing a couple of dodgy magazine articles so I've now been royally stitched to do the Wessex tome. I'd prefer to start back where our favourite cab came from so I'd like to do a brief history of the S-58 and how Westland did a proper job on the design. I'm not finding a great deal on the subject though so I'm looking for recommendations from the tribe. As always I'll be your friend and will try and be nice for a bit Cheers

The Gallery kit is far superior to the Italeri.

The girl certainly could carry a tune. RIP

I must have missed the memo, is there now a prize or such for who can make the biggest passive aggressive whinge when a new kit comes out?

Question ..Will Airfix do a 1/48 DH Vampire T.11....??
NAVY870 replied to Corvi's topic in Aircraft Cold War
There's a change in the curvature at the rear of the canopy. Might be to do with the bang seat conversion -
I believe they did, I worked with them on this kit.

Two answers for the price of one post The wing fold locks hydraulically but the jury strut must be fitted to prevent damage to the hinge pins. What people assume to be a 500 pounder in the Airfix kit is a leaflet container, hence the great big seam down the side.
