  1. This on so many levels. I drool over Lambos & Fezzas as much as the next bloke but PLEASE someone give me a McLaren P1 or a Pagani Huayra
  2. Hi guys, I'm building Tamiya's rather excellent Kawasaki ZX-RR and I'm at the stage where I have to paint the cowlings. The inside of said cowlings needs to be painted flat black while the outside needs to be green. Anybody got any tips of how to mask it all so that what should be black stays black and what should be green stays green? On some if not all of the parts there's such a fine line between black and green that I'm struggling to work out how best to do it. Thanks guys Matt
  3. I use Tamiya acrylics & shake the bejesus out of them for at least 5 minutes, then give them a good stir with a cocktail stick to sort out the sludge in the bottom of the jar, especially with metallics. Works for me 😊
  4. That's a bit sexy innit?! Once I get my bike finished it's time to dig this one out of the stash I feel. Lovely job! Cheers Matt
  5. Looks lovely mate, always loved the 458 and especially in red with a black roof. Loving the shine from the lacquer too. All the best Matt
  6. Hello Simon mate, If SWMBO would let you? The kit or a WIP? Matt
  7. So I get home from work, and SWMBO's gone to the sorting office for me What a stunning kit! Roll on my week off is all I can say! About time I put some pics up on here so WIP coming up in the next couple of weeks guys, will be my first one so be gentle(!) Best wishes folks, Matt
  8. Bit of a faff I'll admit but I'd be inclined in the absence of a decal to print the picture to scale, use some masking tape, make a stencil and paint it? As I say it's a faff granted but I reckon it's doable? Best wishes, Matt
  9. I'm thinking about doing mine in the stealth black colour scheme... That said why stop at one? If it's a cracker of a kit I might go barmy and do one of each! Mmmm stealth black Ducati... Happy modelling peeps Matt :-)
  10. Oooh I'm getting excited now reading these "it's beautiful!" comments! Mine was dispatched on Wednesday, it's currently sitting in Battle sorting office! Grrr! Riggers, apparently Wonderland Models have the front fork/rear shock set? At least it's on the website? Best wishes chaps, Matt
  11. Mine's winging its way to me as we speak too, if the other Tamiya bikes I've finished (the R1 and the ZX-RR) are anything to go by this should be a corker...
  12. Hi all, Just been a bit of a rebel and ordered one of these purely on the box art, this thing looks like a beast... Any of you good people started/finished one of these yet? Just wondered on your thoughts? Cheers, Matt
  13. Hi Neil, Only just seen your post but I have some spare decals for this kit knocking around. No guarantees I have the decal you're after but PM me your address & I'd be only too happy to send you what I have. Cheers, Matt
  14. Looking good Neil, I built one of these last year in the same colour scheme, loved every minute of it. Rick, go and treat yourself to a Tamiya bike kit. They just fall together, easiest most pleasurable builds in the world. Complex, but not too challenging. Enjoy all, Matt
  15. I almost exclusively build Tamiya kits and have never had an issue with Microset/Microsol. Hope this helps.
