I was originally born and bred in Ayr, my old man was the polis but we are from a fishing family, I miss the sea. Love models, built my first one when I was five yes old, I remember it as a matchbox red arrows gnat with white fingerprints.

Managed to become a commercial model maker for a few years before cad came along and took all my clients. Now it's just for fun.

Two men taught me the most about modelmaking, Mr Crook, my primary school teacher, taught me to scratchbuild using just about anything when I was nine years old. The second taught me all about making masters, molds, casting, attention to detail and producing high quality aftermarket detail sets, his name is Tim Perry and you know him here as 'wunwinglow'.
