I spent 15 years in the Air Force as a crew chief on KC-10's first, and then C-130 ABDR (aircraft battle damage repair) The first four were active duty, the last 11 were reserve. The C-130 squadron de-activated, so I didn't complete my full 20. However, I have worked at Boeing (formally McDonnell Douglas) and spent the majority of my time on the MD-11. I did a short stint at Northrup Grumman working on the first 6 F/A-18E/F before returning to Boeing to work on my current job which is C-17 maintenance an modification. I have a private pilot's license, though the cost of flying has restricted my ability to fly as of late.

Family wise, I have been married 11 years and have two boys; Ben (10) and Jack (7). As noted, I live in middle Georgia (Warner Robins) and work on Robins AFB. I am very fortunate to have a great aircraft museum right next door! (www.museumofaviaiton.org/). If anyone needs pictures of any of the aircraft there, I will be glad to help! My wife is very supportive of my hobby and my youngest boy, Jack, is facinated with aircraft and helps me select models to build. Keeping him from test-flying my models is the trick! He has gotten better about this as he has gotten older. Now I build models just for him to fly around!
