  1. Hi All, i'm on the lookout for a decal set to convert a JSDF Sea King to an RAF Rescue Sea King (the extremely yellow one) in 1:48. I've found plenty of listings of sets that have existed, but i'm yet to find an online supplier that has some in stock. Quite a few have them listed, but as 'Out of Stock' or 'Back Order'. So- I was just wondering if anyone had a lead for somewhere where a 1:48 RAF Rescue Sea King Decal set might actually be in stock? Thanks all!
  2. The Dutch Apache and F-16 were bloody amazing though.
  3. I went on the Saturday, and thought it was fun, but the static park was dull, there was too much filler in the air, there weren't nearly enough toilets or food outlets, and I don't think the Service Station concept worked- it was too concentrated and the basic amenities should be absolutely everywhere when there's going to be many thousands of people in attendance. Some great displays, but I found the RAF Typhoon a bit underwhelming, and I just can't understand why the Wingwalkers are still a 'thing' (I suspect it's because the girls all look a bit 'vaguely upmarket page 3' and so therefore are good for ground based advertising and sponsorship, but in the air- boring as hell and who cares what they look like?!). So, so boring- if it was a TV show, the Wingwalkers section would be when you'd go to the toilet or put the kettle on.
  4. That looks excellent! anyone got experience using one? Any tips?
  5. I'm just looking into the box and dreading the time spent cutting tamiya tape into very small pieces...
  6. Hi guys, As per the thread title....anyone know if such a thing exists? Eduard seem to do one for the 1/72 scale model of the Bucc, but I can't seem to find one for the 1/48 Bucc. Any ideas would be great! Cheers guys, JG
  7. ETPS BAE146 and Alpha Jet on their way home today.
  8. Oh i'm not bothered about exact matches....just something that's reasonably time and 'look' accurate....
  9. Hi guys, Following the conclusion of my current project, i'm going to start on a pair of Air Defence fighters- I've got an 1:48 F-15C (Academy) and a 1:48 F-22A (Revell), and I was wondering if anyone could suggest suitable rattle-cans for them, either Tamiya or Humbrol. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers! JG
  10. Does anyone know how many spare Merlins the FAA has? I've heard it mentioned in several contexts- this one, and also when it comes to the issue of a new carrier-borne AEW&C solution. Any ideas? Cheers!
  11. I was at Cosford recently...is there really space in the Cold War Hanger for an enormous plane such as a VC10?!...
  12. Would love to do a 1:24 Typhoon FGR.4...
  13. Hi guys, I'm looking to get some 1:24 modern jets to go with my 1:24 Sea Harrier....and I was wondering if any existed? (apart from the Gr.3). Cheers! JG
  14. Answered my own question..... http://www.flightglobal.com/blogs/the-dewline/2012/10/eglin-f-35b-conduct-first-aeri.html
  15. I've seen pictures of the F-35C being refuelled via hose & drogue from a KC-130....will the F-35B also have a probe as opposed to the boom-receptacle of the F-35A?
