  1. All nice, well done on the H/C Seafire XV which IIRC is a total dog!
  2. AFAIK, there is nothing, not even seats. I had hoped that with the re-release of this kit by Revell, that might change but not so far.
  3. Blimey!! You could do one of the prototypes in over all High Speed Silver.
  4. Mike, you have a very cruel streak!
  5. Buy neither.......but track down the Aeroclub offerings if you can! Seriously, I haven't yet built the Airfix kit. I started the CA TT kit a year or so back but had AWFUL problems in gettng the nose together & couldn't really see what was the problem. I ended up setting it aside for 6m! Eventually I picked it up & persevered &, once together, it's very nice with no other major problems as I recall. The tailplanes are "butt" jointed but sturdy enough if you use plently of glue & when dry, fill the gaps with PVA.
  6. Good work, the Fujimi Phantoms are nice (as I seem to recall from when I built in 1/72!)
  7. Hyperscale has sprue shots & details of the colour schemes offered, and would you believe that someone in the discussion forum has already started pulling the kit apart. Why do people do this? Is it just people who want everyone to know how much they know?
  8. Beautiful job. I've built that kit, it's a real beauty & I'd LOVE another..........any chance of a reissue John @ Aeroclub?????
  9. I know sweet FA about trucks/truck modelling but even I can see that is beautiful!
  10. Thanks, checked their site but this sheet is no longer listed, however, a future release is given for a sheet dedicated to a/c operating from HMS Eagle & a Scimitar is included. I'll look out for this. I've never considered stripping & refinishing a kit before but I think this one's worth the effort!
  11. When CA released their Vampires, Flightpath produced comprehensive etched detail sets. They're still listed for the single & two-seaters with the set for the NF11 also listed as a future release. I used the single seater set - the usual excellent quality from Flightpath but extremely fiddley!
  12. Beautiful!! I don't know how I've managed to miss this thread so far. I built this a while back but it's finished rather badly. Seeing this makes me want to strip mine back & start again. Aplogies if I've missed this info but where did you get the decals from?
  13. What's wrong with you, don't you know there's a credit crunch on?
  14. Weren't the wheels different on account of the Venoms thinner wing? The resulting very high tyre pressure caused a lot of problems on the Venom.
  15. Mike, it's a very good kit straight OOB. The intakes are totally see-through which is a real downer though. It lacks some features that are present on current service examples (hopefully Revell will re-work & reissue at some stage as they did with their "B"). Updates & decals can be obtained from Skyraider models. See http://www.smds.ws/index.php http://fancherello.free.fr/aviation/rafale/rafale1.html HTH
  16. Also a pic in Ian Ward's book"Lightning Squadrons of the RAF". I think it looks rather smart too! The scheme was to celebrate 21 years on the Lightning for 5 squadron.
  17. Hasegawa F104S in 1/48 & (I think) 1/32, not sure about the specific markimgs you mentioned though. Edit, just looked at Hannants site & they are not currently listed.
  18. The wife polishes mine, a lovely job everytime.
  19. Just popped over & checked that out, surely that's a typo! £30 maybe but not £300
  20. Good work, despite it's shortcomings, that kit is nice & one of the few 1/72 scales models Ive built in the last 10 years!
  21. I think there was a vacform Bucc that crops up on ebay very occasionally - don't know what it was like. There was a Lindberg Vulcan in 1/96 that represented the prototype. Valiant in 1/72 injection available from Mach 2 - search this site, someone is bound to have built it!
