  1. I have never binned a model………..yet, but this was a close call. Not knowing much about the “real” subject I bought it because I like choppers, especially civil ones. When digging out info about it, I realized it just was a mockup shown at various air shows and events. Adding the fact that the decals looked awfully difficult to get nicely on the chopper in any decent way it was put away for years long back in the stash. It was out in the air regularly me not knowing what to do with it. Finally I started it as a Ka 60, looked almost the same, but this prototype did not have retractable gears (which I off course missed) and other layout of the engines. The exhausts were altered to the side, some bits and things added according to photos the best way I managed. The kit is not done in Amodels finest hour, so the build is a bit “non”easy and as mentioned on its way to the bin more than once. Halfway I had printed the decals and I didn’t want to waste that time effort too, so I nursed it to the end. In no way perfect but it has made its way to the built stash…………….and I still love Amodel😍🤣 Thanks//Anders
  2. Superb work, very well executed and one more lovely Draken, thanks for showing.
  3. Sure, its in the pipeline, just realized its a looooooooooong pipeline🤣but you'll see it here first, promiss++
  4. Thanks for your info, OK I'll see if I can find one anywhere. Hope he's well, that's the main thing. //Anders
  5. Just great, thats a paintjob to be proud of, I like the finish of it a lot. Over 20 years ago I printed these decals for the farewell yellow DK-215 Draken, nice to see it in working cloth now.
  6. Thanks for all kind posts. Yes it was this set I wondered about, is that Wirlybird conversion still avaivable anywhere? I would be very interested to learn if so. //Anders
  7. Hello I'd like to show this Sea King as my second entry here. It is the old kit of the Airfix Sea King, yes the one with the leave thin rotorblades, if you've built one you will know which kit it is. I've built one earlier in Belgian colours and had this left in my stash and didn't want to bin it when the new Airfix kit came out. Offcourse this new kit is way better and I'll sure build that too some time. The kit went togehter quite easy, some problems with the fit of the canopy though, that isn't perfekt and a bit crude, details not up to date, I added a little interior, there was nada inside and I wanted to have the slide door open. The lower rails I thing were made by Airfix to make it moveable, not much like the real thing. I was positivly surprised when using the old decals, they worked well, the ones I replaced were the Norwegian roundels which were out of register. I'd like to build the later version too, the one with the radarnose and bigger radom on its spine, so if someone has any suggestion where I could find a set of all these bits and parts needed I'd be very happy to hear about. And now some pics, the dayglow is way better in real than on the photos, don't know why it shows just orange Thanks//Anders
  8. Thanks to @Hook I've got the missing decals Massivly appreciated by me //Anders
  9. Thanks all. yes there was a lot of decals, it took a little week to apply all, but as I mentioned I was surprised how well they fitted //Anders
  10. Hello My first attempt to show one of my models. The Revell Tornado was quite good and easy to build, some flash, a bit of care needed with the moveable wings and a lot of patience with the decals as there are a lot of them. They were very good, responded well to Microsol fluid and fitted almost 100%. Nosegear was lowered, some lenses added, modified the nosecone (not sure it became better though). A Boz 100 flare dispencer was used on both wings, because I found a photo of that. I added tigerstripes to both of them too. As it was my first Revell Tornado I had some problems to figure out how the main gear was fitted, but in the end even I did understand it. When I look at the real thing, I should off course weathered it more at the rear section. Maybe I add this sometime im the future. and in company with some of the other models Thanks and I hope you like it //Anders
  11. Hello I'm living in the south of Sweden near former F 10 wing, next week 64, halfretired since this week from Cemetery warden and gravedigger and addicted to plasticmodels since 10 years old. My unbuilt stash is....sooo many, the built ones +300, mostly aircraft but also everything else so long it's 1/72 scale. RC flying since 40 years, very rare nowadays though, the better halv in my life my loved wife, son and 2 Eurasian dogs. That was my short introduction, regarding my jobb situation I hope for some more time for the Hobby now😅 All have a nice weekend and fresh glue //Anders
