Work on the front part of the fuselage. The ejection seats have arrived. I chose these because I thought they were the closest to those used in Vulcan. Of course, please express your opinions regarding their use in the model or making any necessary modifications.

The next stage of work. Preparing the mold to make the wings.

Unfortunately, the inlets require reconstruction....

I know there were two types of inlets but I don't know their dimensions (diameter). Or I would need two similar photos showing the difference in the shape of the inlets.

I have a problem with the correct appearance of the inlets. All photos are taken from the ground level and it is not very clear what shape and size the inlets have. I can not find any good plans showing this element of the plane. Maybe you have the dimensions of these inlets, some plans or photos that would allow me to make the correct inlets?

Hi, I would like to make the F-105G model with Monogram with open panels and their visible content (electronics, etc.) However, I do not have access to photos that would allow me to make such bays with the contents ... If someone could help me with photos or information in which publication I can to find such pictures I would be very grateful. Cezarek

Hello again. Thank you for all the comments and positive attitude. The pictures of airbrakes are very helpful. And next question: are upper and ventral air-brakes the same? Or different? Little progress so far as you can see in the attached pictures. I would like again to ask for some help. Does anyone have any pictures of the bottom of the fuselage, near ventral air-brakes, showing how the shape/profile of the fuselage changes, looking from the tail toward the nose of the aircraft? http:// http:// Best regards. Little progress. Next bulkheads installed, and some fuselage surface too. http:// Before making the bomb bay ,I must make the fuselage surface in the area where air-brakes are located. Unfortunately, I have neither any good pictures of the inner side of the air-brakes, nor air-brakes’ wells. Can anyone help me? There are air inlets on top surface of the fuselage, visible on some pictures near air brakes. Does anyone know if they were positionable or open permanently?

Hello All, I have decided to start my first WIP thread. It will concern Avro Vulcan in 1/48 scale. As no manufacturer makes a kit of this aircraft in this scale, the model will be built from scratch. I started with measurement(as precise as possible) of the model in 1/48 scale, using scaled-down pictures of real aircraft, as a base. http:// Next, I made fuselage bulkheads from a sheet of styrene. In this case, I used a cardboard model of the plane as the template, again rescaled to 1/48. http:// First bulkheads glued up. http:// http:// In the nose and the tail, the styrene tubes were installed to strengthen and make the whole structure stable. They will be removed later after installation of all bulkheads. The next step, after all the bulkheads are installed, will be a construction of a bomb bay. This will make the fuselage rigid and inflexible. Cezary

Dear modelers, I am going to build 1/48 scale model of Harrier GR5 or GR7 in early green came (NATO IRR Green BSC381C 285 - FS34096 on upper surfaces/Medium Green BS4800.12B.25 - FS34098 on lower surfaces) Can anyone help me with the colours of stencils in that scheme? Were they black, red or any other colour? Is there any available decal set with that stencils? Any help would be welcome. Cezary G

Thank you Ian, I also think it could be wooden, because of the images of a survivor of the fuselage plane. However, the colleague did your model so well and so thoroughly that I believe that there is no mistake. Maybe wooden plate was covered with a mesh? The the best solution would be the answer from a creator of the model himself, but unfortunately colleague has not responded to any of my message. Another solution would be an opinion of someone who was in the FAA museum at Yeovilton and saw the fuselage. Cezary

Hi everybody, I'm working on a model airplane Short 184 and I have a little problem. One of fellow forum in their model 1/32 applied metal mesh as the floor in the cabin of the aircraft. Can you confirm my intention to implement this element in the same way? Or someone can offer me another solution? Cezary

Dear modellers, I would like to build a model of British tank A12 Matilda finished as a tank participating in the battle of Arras or at least from the same period. As far as I know these tanks were painted with Khaki Green No.3 and Deep Bronze Green No.24 but unfortunately I do not know which model paints I should use to reproduce these colours accurately. Could You suggest me something? Any catalogue number of Valleyo paints? Lifecolor maybe? Any help would be welcome. Best regards, Cezary

Dear modellers I would like to ask if anyone of you have some pictures of the inside of engine compartment in Gloster Meteor. I am going to make Tamiya Meteor 1/48 with engine compartments open but I cannot find any good pictures showing the inside of the engine nacelles in the area where they meet with the wings. I wonder whether the inner structure of the wing (any wing spars, ribs, pipes or wires) is visible when the top cowling is removed, or this area is covered with a sheet of metal or something like this so it is not possible to see anything inside of the wing I am looking forward to any help. Unfortunately, still having no photo of this particular plane I will build the model of XT864 following the drawing from the mentioned book unless I find a photo of real aircraft. I will still be looking for it. Finally I would like to ask for the last advice regarding the zapping on XT864. Was it located on one side of the tail only, or on both sides(I mean left and right)? I had in mind XT 864 / J ...... but it also can be! Only has some strange arrows on the tail and probably will need a little more images.

Dear modellers, I would like to build a model of British Phantom FG.1 from 111 SQN with dark green/dark sea grey camouflage on upper surfaces. I remember that once upon a time I saw a picture of Phantom belonging to 111 SQN which had GermanAF AG 51 “Immelmann” zapping/emblem on its tail. Unfortunately, now I cannot find any photo of such a plane. Maybe one of you has got a photo I am looking for, or any other information regarding that plane that could share with me to help me build such a model? I am looking forward to any help. Dear Modelers. Thank you very much for all your answers. Unfortunately taking into consideration the way I glued both gun pods to the fuselage I am afraid that it will be impossible for me to remove them without making a lot of damages to the kit. My mistake but lessons learnt Additionally I was not aware of the differencies between British and US Paveway LGB’s. So I will probably have to finish the kit as GR.7 and have to choose another weapon option (maybe BL-755) or as XV107 wrote - the option used during Op. DELIBERATE FORCE -with LGB's but without any targeting pod. And the last question regarding PHIMAT pods - I have found a picture of Harrier with PHIMAT pod under one wing. Dear Modelers. I would like to ask you for some advice regarding British Harrier GR.7/9. I am building a Harrier from Hasegawa 1/48 set and I would like to attach two Paveway LGB's under her wings. The first problem is that I am not sure which targeting pod I should use in connection to mentioned LGB’s (TIALD, Sniper…)? Another question is where I should hang this targeting pod? On one of underwing pylons, on the centreline pylon under the fuselage or instead of one of gun pods (I have already attached both gun pods under the fuselage and I am afraid that it will be very difficult to remove anyone of them)?
