  1. So I'm not the only who has to put with moans about how long I've spent working on a model.
  2. I'm sure it will be. It isn't my next project as I'm busy with a Renault Vivastella which is a Heller kit at the moment. Without rushing you I'm looking forward to the completed project
  3. Nice work so far. Watching and following your thread as I have these kits too.
  4. Great work, scene tells a good story and the weathering etc: is very good.
  5. Also check out YouTube for ideas.
  6. Another fine model Stevie. I too have some fond memories of Otterburn.
  7. Said it before say it again, stunning build proved by the admiration of all who have both followed your build and this thread. Very realistic, takes me back to RAF Gutersloh in 1972-1973 when I was working with 18 Sqn. as a MAOT.
  8. This build and a couple of others I have seen inspired me to try this kit myself. Took a bit of hunting around but have managed to get my hands on one. Made a start today by filling in the fuel filler recess, every FFR I crewed had two tanks one below each front seat. I also removed the fuel tank and will cut it and fit it so that a small part protrudes below the chassis at the correct location. I'm certain that a small part could just be seen. Hope I can do as good a job as you have with the painting and weathering.
  9. Wow! You didn't hang around. Came back on to see you have it done. Great job by the way, you've done it proud.
  10. Re my last on the radios, just discovered it is more than likely VRC 321 of the Clansman era and not Larkspur as I first thought.
  11. Nice build well done. what radio is that? As ex Royal Sigs myself I don't recognise it. Mainly worked with C11/R210, D11 and of course C45. Then C70 as a Radio Relay op.
  12. When is a kit not just another kit? When it Has a real story behind it. The quality of the build and paintwork do indeed make this a fitting tribute to the crew. Thanks for posting and adding an interesting story.
  13. Jumping aboard and following this one, nice work so far.
  14. Good example of the M109 with subtle weathering, well done.
  15. RAF Scarborough is in your model room, that explains why I had never heard of it my mother was from Scarborough and my brother lives there, I have been in Scarborough many times. when I visit I usually support P& S by purchasing bits and pieces, Arrow Models on occasion but they were always a bit more expensive. Boyes were good for paints and the weathering filters were a bargain. cheers, Ian.
  16. Nice to see something different, well done. Look forward to any follow up projects.
  17. Well done, certainly don't have to chuck that one out.
  18. Nice example of the Wessex. Not sure exactly where RAF Scarborough is. Do you purchase any of your models from P&S Hobbies & models? Boyes used to have some good stuff but on my last visit I noticed they have cut down on a fair bit.
  19. Love it. Nicely finished, with a good story.
  20. One hell of a task with a paint brush, well done.
  21. Great piece of work. Great idea for the base, brings the model and it together nicely.
  22. Congrats on a well made model and display. Many hours spent on the Wessex and the extra on the display and accessories were well worth it and rewarded by, not just the outcome, but the deserved praise from those of us that have followed you through the highs and lows. Put simply, very well done indeed, thanks for the pleasure we've all experienced.
