  1. She’s a beauty and a beast all in one Fantastic build. Congrats
  2. Starting to take shape now. The ejector-pin marks should be 'lost' once the lid goes on
  3. Two's company, three's................................................. Again, just a bit of colour in the cockpit fir the 1:48 and the rest fell together. All 3 tail feathers are push fit for the photo
  4. And then there were two (well, kind of!) The 1:72 is just like the 1:144; bit of paint in the 'office' then it's a few parts to build up the majority of the fuselage.
  5. Hi Cliff, Just seen this in the gallery; it’s brilliant!!
  6. Thanks Craig. Not many parts to get to this stage 🙂
  7. Well, That didn't take long!! To be fair, it's only 1:44, and only the fus. The cockpit took the longest and that's because I had to wait for the paint to dry (no pilot though). The exhaust and armaments are still to go, but even with those, I reckon the overall paint-job is going to take soooooooo much longer.
  8. Thank you 🙂 And WOW! Yes, you really should!!
  9. Not that I’ve ever built the real thing, but the same thing crossed my mind 😀 Thank you 🙂 I believe the bonnet is removable so had to put a little effort in 😉
  10. I've made a start on this. Chassis completed in one as it helped with parts alignment . Looks like the rest of it can be build in 'blocks', and put together. Time will tell Pretty sure that fuel tank will be totally lost when complete but I had to paint it anyhow!
  11. Often thought about building something like this. Watching with interest Nice start
  12. They look fantastic I'm planning to build the F-16 in 4 scales; starting with 1:144, 1:72, and 1:48, in the NATA GB. I feel I need to add this cockpit to the master plan now!!
  13. Have you just talked yourself into a ‘what if’ build??
  14. Thank you It wasn’t a very technical approach. I used a good amount of Microset, and once I had the cut-outs over correctly (by using a brush), I just pushed down over the stall-warning with a gloved thumb. After that, I used Microsol to bed things down, and with a blade, I cut away anything not lying flat. One of the replies in the thread advised the stall warnings were only up in flight, so if you’re displaying the kit on the ground, you can cut them off! I would have, had I known this prior. Thank you There are a few bargains on second hand sites. I personally enjoyed the build so much, I thought it worth the spend (think I picked it up for just over £40). Need to find a ‘forever home’ for her now!!
  15. Phew, You had me going back to the instructions and checking them 3 times over!! To be fair, you’re not wrong; the main part of the build does fall together quite effortlessly
  16. Many thanks! And they are the kit decals. I used up a months patience that day
  17. Thanks both. That’s very kind of you! Mike, have you spotted something wrong with the ladder? Don’t tell me I’ve missed a part
  18. Many thanks. The kit was a real pleasure to build! I'd recommend it to anyone.
  19. Hi All, I built these last week: for these: Might be biting off more than I can chew, but I'll give it a go. Only ever managed two builds for a single GB before. I've a 1:32 too and the master plan is to build all 4 scales (these 3 wheels up and the 1:32 with engine on a trolley); but I don't think there'd be enough time here for that
  20. Hi All, Just completed this for the Boomer GB so thought I'd share in the RFI. Thread is here for anyone interested Cheers Nigel
  21. Hi All, This is me for the GB. Airfix 1:48 Gloster Javelin. Here's the thread for anyone interested I'm not great with a camera but there was a mention of a mirror so thought I'd have a go Cheers Nigel
