  3. That's an absolute beauty David very well done always nice to see a Corps helicopter on here you've captured her beautifully 👏 When they first arrived it was a long running saga at a model stall in central Dublin as to the correct shade of grey on the fuselage went on for months 😄 thanks for sharing Eamonn

  7. I agree Sinister both would be fantastic a new tool Zvezda 707 & A330 preferably a 200 would be right up there on many wish lists. In the meantime I can't wait to get my hands on this kit & a new tool BAC 111 that's on the way from elsewhere Happy times for civilian modellers Eamonn

  11. Hi all Thanks for the update Joe and as expected it's a 1a fuselage. So two different options for cutting this could be a good challenge gentlemen ? front or back cut both have merits! but it would have been better if Valom had provided the right one in the first place. Judging by the interest in this aircraft it would have kept us all happy. Joe I agree with Alex it would be great if you could rustle up a sheet but the colour schemes are even worse than Seafire Green 🤣, I once met an Aer Lingus retiree who told me the cheatline was the same colour as the CIE buses & trains not orange but I didn't know if he was on a wind up. For such a short time in the fleet they seemed to be painted a number of different shades and so were the DAKs but getting definitive proof is going to be a nightmare. It would also be great if you could reissue your early Aer Lingus sheet mine were stolen in a burglary back in Dub along with a lot of other sheets I haven't been able to replace and I would along with many others be grateful to you if you re pop them. stay safe everyone Eamonn
  12. Morning all Many thanks for the kind messages my partner is a bit poorly as you say here and she's heading to hospital soon for some treatment, As she nursed me following my lengthy illness, it's been a bit of a shock to see her sick for the first time. We will get through it and I'm touched by your messages many thanks. I will upload a pic or two later I've not been near the Meteor for a couple of days but will put that right this evening still needs a lot of remedial work as I think I shouldn't have put the undercoat on first but we live and learn. I tried a little 10thou plastic card in the U/C bay just for an experiment but won't bother with the rest this time. I also used a sharpie to outline an engine in each pod not 100% accurate but in those immortal words of our hobby " I knows its there" 😉. Chat later stay safe everyone Eamonn
  13. Good morning all Quick update today as i won't have time to be on here dealing with a family issue. 23. Nice to hear you got sorted and I agree with all the other posters regarding using Laser decals. They need a little extra work so vital to plan ahead but they do look fantastic when got right! and Nick does a very eclectic mix and produces the odd one off's too. Enjoy using them Eamonn
  24. Fantastic Phil starting to come together nicely very well done Eamonn
