  1. You can download them from the National Archives at a cost of £3.45 for a month. This link should take you to the 236 ORB for 1944 and 1945 http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/results/r?_no=236&_sd=1944&_ed=1945&discoveryCustomSearch=true&_cr1=AIR+27&_col=200&_dt=SQ&_hb=tna HTH Russ
  2. Thanks for that Graham, I am presuming that they would no longer carry the black and white invasion markings? or would they?? As for the serial, I have the ORB for May 1945, which surprisingly does not list 'N' but it does list both code and serial for individual aircraft. If you wish you can message me you e mail address and I will forward you the ORB Russ
  3. Hi, Is anyone aware of any photos/diagrams/drawings/models etc of a 236 Squadron Beaufighter X dating to the early months of 1945. I am keen to build the Airfix Beau X in 1/72 scale dating it to this period but nowhere can I find any examples of the colour scheme. Thank you in advance, Russ
  4. Hi, Here’s my attempt at the Wellesley Mk I by Matchbox. The model represents an aircraft from 45 Squadron flown circa mid 1938 and was made pretty much out of the box. I thoroughly enjoyed building this old kit, which fitted surprisingly well and I even had a go at some internal detailing….which of course can’t be seen now but at least I know it there. I hope you like it, Russ
  5. Hi Robin, That's a very nice Spitfire indeed but can I ask are those after market decals or is Hasegawa doing late war 92 Squadron decals straight out of the box now?
  6. Here is my 1/72 Airfix A.W. Whitley made straight from the box. I decided to go for the all black camouflage of 10 Squadron and attempted to enhance the black finish by first applying an overall black, spraying the main panelled area mid grey and finishing with a light overall black hopefully giving a weathered look. This was a really fun build with no issues at all. I hope you like it, Russ
  7. Thank you for all your positive comments and I must echo Meatbox8 in that it would be fantastic to see a new re-tooled 1/72 Canberra B2/B6 kit by Airfix....and a 1/72 Beaufort and Hudson too if at all possible!! Thanks again, Russ
  8. Hi, Here is my attempt at at the 1/72 Airfix Canberra E15, built in flight and representing 98 Squadron, serial WH957 during 1974 using the Modeldecal MD028 sheet. Although this is an old kit, it was great fun to build, with a reasonable amount of filling/sanding but spoilt a little by some silvering under the wings and not brilliant spraying. I love putting these old jets in the ‘in flight’ mode which means of course less faffing around with fiddly undercarriages. Although the kit was a lot of fun to build it is helpful to have a fettish for applying decals….there’s dozens of them!! I hope you like it, Russ
