  1. Nice model My grandma still tell me stories about the Sunderland that was shot down over her home during a patrol 9th april 1940.
  2. Awsome Built this in 1/48, but that way a few years ago with close to nill skills, a model high on my wishlist to build again, and this got me even more tempted
  3. Heres my shot at Eduards Tempest. Bought this set a couple of years ago before i had started to take the hobby more serious, and opened the box again a week ago. Then i remembered that i had given up the resin bits for the pit, and almost abondon the whole thing. Meh, i wanted this on the shelf instead of resting in the box, so after som filling and sanding, painting and decaling i got this finished up. Had allready removed the masking on the canopy when i noticed that i had forgotten the final layer of varnish on it, but meh. Not sure if i bother with some more weathering on this one, but open for suggestions Some pictures: Thanks for looking. Jørgen
  4. Cool build Well done. Noticed this thread as i`ve just watched "The Sum Of All Fears"
  5. A bargain buy, and a quick build, this is the Old Tamiya-kit, picked up for for 4,99. Was originaly thinking of going all out on chipping on this one, but gave up, damn need to learn some proper weathering-tecniques. Some Pics. Thank you for looking
  6. This build has spendt a lot of time in the back end of the "Cabinet of shame", due to the badly fit and details, and had almost given itt up, But In that cabinet was also a badly buildt Hasegawa F-16 RNOAF, so i descided to use the decals from that kit and transform the badly Eurofighter to a What If. As most of you know, Eurofighter was in the competition with Gripen and the ugly one i cant remember name of, but the last one won the competiton. So maybe this is how it could have been The Eurofighter is definately one of my favourites tho, so any tips to what the best kit is in 1/48? Some pics:
  7. Was tempted buying the new well hyped Tamiya Zero, but when hannants had this one for a wooping 5£, i thought of it as a good way of learning the Zero a bit. This is gonna be an oob build, with just some harnesses from Tamiya tape. Using it as a way of paint/weathering training, so any tips is welcome. This kit is from early 80ish, panellines are very narrow, but wont be fiddling with any rescribing, so just hope i wont fill them all with paints, hehe. All details etc in the pit are my own ideas. Pit mostly done. Kinda boring with a totaly flat ip, with decals. Sidewalls, looks kinda shiny, but thats due to it still beeing wet from the wash, hehe. Painting the yellow leading edges showed me some gaps, so some more filling was needed. Stay tuned. Any tips are mostly welcome, alltho it most likely wont be used on this build, but the "real" kit im planning.
  8. A jewel there Where others are afraid of macro showing to much of the flaws, it seems like yours just looks more and more real the closer you gets
  9. Following this thread Im planning on making my TB-3 inflight with the I-16s underside, and i ordered some props from this site, havent painted them yet to see how it looks tho, but some of the images on that site looks promising http://www.propblur.com/172nd-scale.html
  10. Very nice Still got two Rafa's left to build for my TB-3 project.....
  11. Cheers for the nice comments. Quite pleased with the outcome, alltho i stiller havent got the hold on replicating the exaust..... And it indeed helped changing the login name
  12. Hello all. This is my very first post on these forums, mostly using IPMS Norways forum. Anyways, this is my try on Tamiyas IL2, a very nice kit, and guess ill build more of them in the years to come. Was supposed to be totaly oob, but had to scratch seat harness, and gunner seatstrap, due to the carpetmonster. Paint is Vallejo, and the model is toned down with Humbrol matt coat with a drop of white. Some pics: Thank you for watching. Any comments welcome, espescialy constructive and learning ones
