  1. OH MY.......s..s...s...she's beautiful Lovely build & as always a cracker paint job J
  2. Hey, I made this model for "The Big Spring Contest' over on Scale Model Addict a few years ago,....It won me 2nd place in the Sci-Fi category & I earned a rather nice Badger airbrush & paint-set. I used the Revell Easy-kit as the base,.....lots of plasti-card & kitbashed parts She ended up being a little different dimensionally to RMQ's paintings,.....& I've got V2 in the pipeline Thanks for looking john
  3. A wee bit of work with the engines.....I bought some clear nozzles from a member of Starship Modeller years ago.....so I glued them together & masked the nozzle openings & gave it a blast of black primer...then the top coat Thanks for looking John
  4. I'd say they're reproducing the lighting effects of Star Wars (ANH) In Star Wars the Star Destroyers appear quite white looking: ....compared to how they looked later in the sequels: ...also it shows a lot of similarities to the original Star Destroyer 'Devastator': The model is very pale: Likely keeping the whiteness from Georges approval of Colin Cantwell's concept models: Its all about going back to the origin John
  5. This is amazing work Bob......you are so creative J
  6. Thanks guys...... My camera.....iPhone.....& light set up are kitchen downlighters OK.....I've done a bit of work to the engine grille Thanks for looking John
  7. There really should be a Blockade Runner,......after reading the KitBash article it really underlines how much time & money was spent on the original Han Solo pirate ship They recon $25,000,....almost a third of the total model budget for the film, had been spent on the ship,....it had to be demoted to have a brief appearance, altered with a new cockpit module, as Princess Leia's pursued starship at the start of the movie,.....the model demoted because of similarities to a spaceship in a British TV series,.....the Eagle Transporter in Space 1999,....a new design for the Pirate ship eventually became The Millennium Falcon The Rebel Blockade Runner was the first spaceship to appear in Star Wars,......& will also hopefully feature in the upcoming stand-alone Star Wars film Rogue One later this year J
  8. A very nice website that has been mentioned on FaceBook today about the history of the Millennium Falcon concept: http://kitbashed.com/blog/a-complete...lennium-falcon The interesting thing is how much effort & design that went into making the 'Pirate Ship' only to have the ship shelved all because of Space 1999's Eagle Transporter......so they redesigned the shape into the 'Burger' shape we know now,.... Why did they call it 'The Millennium Falcon'?? Because of that Space 1999 Eagle
  9. Thanks Hunter Rose No additional work done on this at the moment,...but images with the FineMolds 1/72 for comparison: Thanks for looking John
  10. Thanks for the comments guys,....yes this kit has been re-released by Revell Some more updates,....weathering Thanks for looking John

  14. Just a quick comparison of TFA Digital model,...the Dragon kit & the completed FineMolds 1/144: J
  15. Accuracy = 0% It's not the Falcon that ILM used for TFA The dish & base are too large & details dont match Unless Dragon are planning on giving this away free with a Happy Meal or inside a cereal box I'm not interested J
  16. RPF is the Replica Prop Forum.....a pretty big movie & TV site with celebrity members Check it out: http://www.therpf.com/forum.php J
  17. Well the image of their falcon is on Twitter Oh dear, theyve used the the wrong Falcon, that's the retired 32" with a soft detailed TFA radar dish Bandai wins again J
  18. Yep,...& that was in series 2 Compressed air was used on take off & landing for the vertical thrusters on both series' J
  19. Ha, if it was me I'd be making a whistling noise through my teeth as it takes off vertically Very epic build J

  21. Leias ship was a sort of new B-Wing,.....& not as nice as the ROTJ ones,.....but yes,...it would be great to see more of the OT ships: J
  22. Its unbelievable,.....you'd think after all these years since the films came out......35 years ago....& with Bandai,....Master Replicas.....even Revell getting it right,....that Dragon could mess up an iconic design J
  23. The Dragon compared to the MR Snowspeeder,....theres loads of dimensions off there J
