  12. I'm pretty sure that Green Strawberry were the first to release a PE set for the Bandai,....& have that 3 layer design.....It made news on FB & forums....months later the ParaGrafix one popped up & it doesn't have the 3 layers.....just 2 Maybe they copied styles of the Star Trek stuff,...but this was the only design I've seen with the 3 layer for Bandai J
  13. I've done a bit more More decals & lights to do next Thanks for looking John
  14. Thanks Kallisti,....I have the Hycote Ford diamond white,....(sorry to keep on pushing Hycote,....I've tried many varieties of car paint & primers,....none spray as smooth & splatter free as Hycote) I just don't fancy having to matt down the gloss finish of the paint J
  15. I used Hycote car primer grey for all the testing to see if everything was seamless,....then Hycote car primer white matt.......when I was happy & it was dry I gave it a buff up with a scouring pad,.....this brings up the raised areas a bit of a satin sheen,.....then masking & painting the different shades with Vallejo paint Weathering with oils Thanks very much John

  18. June 20th 2015,.....copied from RPF #61 Dear Sir, Thanks for writing to us. What you are asking is partly true. Let me explain for you. We will not be taking ownership of the molds from Fine Molds, but we will be getting kits from them to repackage. The first kits should be available in the months of Sept. and Oct. Unfortunately we do not have the prices yet. These should be available soon. Please check out our website for the latest details. Hope this helps. Regards, Ed Sexton Revell Inc. Hi, I’m not sure what you saw, but it is not the number of parts or the price. The Revell kit is the Fine Molds plastic. The Millennium Falcon is over 900 parts and the suggested retail is $299.99. Hope that helps. Regards, Ed Sexton Revell, Inc. J
  19. Thank you very much guys, I used Hycote adhesion aid & then Hycote bumper spray......this allows superglue & primer to bond no problem. I did all my experiments on the inside,...tape tests etc Thanks for looking,.....more images soon John
  20. I've been working on & off on this big bird,....scratch building a lot of the areas using similar kits that ILM used on the 32"er.... The last bit of the main body's side walls done,....just the mandibles to do: The docking bay ring slots on to keep the 2 halves together,...just for the photos The portside mandible part taped in place just to see how it will look: Still loads to do Thanks for looking
  21. Very nice build Andy,....are you gonna do another in a different scheme? Love the weathering J
  22. Did you know that the window, although looking solid red is actually transparent under the red paint? http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=210606&highlight=sith+infiltrator%5D J
  23. The Falcon looks like its the same basic file that was used to create the 1/144.....the details are exactly the same (incorrect) on the cockpit walkway,...this borrows detailing from the 32" stunt model.....the 2 access bays at the rear quarter have mirrored paneling,.....the same as the 1/144,....they should be slightly different on the filming model...the starboard is the correct one,....I hope someone took a picture of the portside mandibles....that will tell us that it IS exactly the same as the file they got for TFA model......which would mean this model's file is the Battlefront version J
