  1. Yes, that and the gunner control panel are the only decals in the cockpit.
  2. Well, it's almost done. Only some tiny more touch ups and that's it. I removed the masking from the cockpit and it's pretty beaten up... i guess some of the coat got onto the canopy and damaged it... how can i fix this?
  3. Nice cockpit!! I am currently building the same exact kit. Check out my build log: http://www.britmodel...topic=234925407
  4. Thanks for the kind words. I can't believe i glued the stabilizers 180 degrees I might sand paper a bit and airbrush some more, or maybe i won't have patience for it. I want to finish this build up. I will wash the whole thing and seal the wash then glue the last part and finish this.
  5. The cockpit didn't fit, i had to fill in the gaps and then paint the cockpit again. Decals and coat and some rocket pods:
  6. Painted the aircraft: 90% TAmiya XF-59 Desert Yellow , 10% XF-2 Flat White + some Thinner. I should have just gone 100% Desert Yellow....
  7. So here is my next build. This is the first time ever i make a detailed cockpit with weathering and dry brushing and not using only decals. Cockpit so far: Misc parts on stand by: Happy saturday everyone!
  8. So here is the progress, i am almost finished. I did so much damage the last few days i am pretty bummed and want to move to the next kit... what a shame since it went perfect untill last week
  9. Sooooooooooooooooooo Damage day. Decals on paint, pre gloss : Check. Matt finish on cockpit : Check. Damaged decals with finish: Check. I have learnt many things NOT TO DO on the next build. Next build will be much more structured. This one is turning out to be an experimental build. I almost dropped the plane after i covered it with a mat finish, in order not to drop it i had to grab it quickly, so ther are finger prints and stuff in the finish now I will just glue everything into place and finish this up.
  10. Some exhaust work The turbine got a bit tooooo yellowish but it's deep inside there so it barely shows, Store ran out of gold flake color so i improvised with metal gray and yellow... didn't turn out the best but i don't mind since it's deep and hidden , i am very proud of my exhaust otherwise. Looks much better than in the pix.
  11. Thanks. Many years of painting , brushing and using spray cans taught me something i guess.
  12. Is this what you mean by "silvering"? I was trying to decal straight on top of the paint and then coat it with mat finish.
