  1. What is the moulded on panel for? Didn't know it needed to come off for the gun to be fitted.
  2. While your at it make sure you have an organisised chaos on the bench. This helps with the build & finding the little pieces. Also I find a good thumb print in the glue adds to the challenge!
  3. Looking at Nimrods 1/144 Phantom with envious eyes!! Have just ordered a LS models 1/144 Phantom from evilbay. Under no illusions that it will be anywhere as near a good kit as the Whirlybird one but do have a plan on how to make something unique from it. Oh dear that will be three Phantoms in this GB by me. Sorry.
  4. Right lets have a picture show to see where we are (& so Cookie can take some notes!! Not calling him a liar, but from where I'm standing his pants are defiantly on fire!). FOD GUARDS. FOD Guards Fitted The front u/c bay was well detailed but the rears are rather bland, so some pipework has been added. And now weathered And all together Onto the cockpit & some detail added using the Airwaves set Wings on & joins filled. Phinally looks like a Phantom
  5. Tim starts at Aunty, Clarkson sacked! Coincidence or someone after a very cushy job?
  6. I do love building in 1/144. This is looking good John.
  7. As usual Cookie, looking other other people's shoulders (cheating some call it!) Just saying!!!! Have some model master Flat white, it seems white (acrylic, enamel, rattle can) is my nemesis!!
  8. Flt Lt Orson Carte is the pilot (one on right) while Flt Lt Adam Baum is the nav nonchalantly looking around in the back twiddling his thumbs.
  9. Cheers Sean. Unusually for me I have a pretty neat join, not much sanding on the seams on the fuse but have a moulding flaw to fill just behind the cockpit. The wings & u/c are in the garage drying under a coat of Halfords White primer. Is it just me or does everyone struggle with white paint?
  10. Hope to get some pictures up soon. Today has seen cockpit painting & weathering, same for front u/c bay. Aircrew have had a coat of green & FOD guards a spray of red.
  11. As some of you are aware my wife is undergoing treatment for breast cancer at the moment. Deciding that this isn't challenging enough for her she is now doing a 10km charity walk to raise money for a new breast cancer unit at Salisbury hospital. ( currently she is being treated there but we have to make a 60mile round trip to Southampton daily over the next three weeks while she's having radiotherapy). After checking with Mish, I have included a link to Janies just giving page in my sig block. If you have a few minutes please could check out her page. Thank you all.
