    Have the next 4 days off so hope to make some more progress & I have the Tornado build to start. Anyway painting continues, underside is done working on the cammo wrap. Not painting the tail yet as still not happy with the reshaped fin. Still a tad too thick. Pictures will def be posted over the weekend. Ps carpet monster successfully fed one of the fin pitots.

    Nice to see you progressing cookie. The fit of the chin vents on mine was awful as in they are over scale & needed sanding.

    First coat of grey underneath on & drying. Fitted the chin vents. They are awful. Sanding required to get them flush.

    So two down & this to finish. No progress during the week as was away working on a real Spitfire. Today however has seen front intakes fitted & a damn good fit too, In fact one side is perfect, the other just a hint of a lip on the underside. Also the first coat of grey has gone on & is drying. May paint the underside grey next then mask off ready for the cammo wrap. Crew are painted & patiently awaiting the seats. Photos to follow.

    Didn't see Black Mike at Leuchars this week, but did find an ex 43Sqn bird in a state of undress. I'm obviously referring to a Phantom, propped up on pallets with the wing bolts out ready to split. Will post some photos in my thread. Any way nice work Tim.

    Phanks for the kind comments guys. I have made a few this way now, mainly as presents. I did make a 1/144 LS Tomcat like this & entered it in a model show. Lost points because it wasn't built!!!!

    So seeing how good Johns 1/144 seats were I had to have a go myself. Belts made with Tamiya tape & handles from wire. Here is the "Phinished build" I painted & then left attached to sprues & then mounted in a deep picture frame. Hope you enjoy.

    Time to add my next build. For Hockeyboy's Phird, which is actually the second one I have completed for this GB. I have "made" the LS 1/144 F-4F. It has been painted on the sprue & then left on & mounted in a deep frame. Hope you enjoy the following pictures.

    Weekends? Never. Monday to Friday lunchtime, if your lucky. I got on a VC10 expecting to land T Goose Bay. Landed at Bruggen!!!
