  1. Belts added to seats, seats in tub, canopy masked & fitted. Desert pink on, JP233s painted & weathered. Should get some pics up soon.
  2. Fin has had cammo painted, drying then some pics. Ready to start decalling, although still have some parts to build & decide on final load out.
  3. After a quick read of Ian Blacks Tornado pilot, there are two types of flare pod fitted. Looking at that picture & his book it seems they are the " less draggy Vinten devices" HTH dude.
  4. I have the Revell F3 which looks exactly the same as yours so no Chaff boxes on the rear. I thought they were an Op Granby mod so some may not have been fitted.
  5. Revell suggest the same in 1/144 & I found it somewhat tricky. Next time I will be joining intakes to front fuse then joining all together.
  6. You probably know this already, but the Revell instructions say fit the intakes after joining front & rear fuse's together. After trying this I would suggest & be doing on my next one is fit the intakes to the forward fuse then join to the rear. Allot less fiddly!!!
  7. I have a couple of 1/144 F3s will see if they have any & let u know.
  8. Thanks Mish & Cookie The IPs are the kit decals, but I did have to do some cutting to fit. Always a worry with a wet decal. Hopefully some time at the bench 2mrw. Will be adding belts to the seats & first coat of desert pink. Ps Cookie I see you found my WHIF Battlestar Viper. Funnily enough the pod underneath is bottom half of a Phantom recce pod with a few extras added.
  9. Have managed to get some weight between pilot & nav stations & also in the front of the intakes. Will see how it sits. Doing a rough finger balance the c of g does seem to be forward at the moment. I'm sure I have some extra hindenbergs somewhere.
  10. Cheers John,Already joined front & rear fuses together & clamped to get a continuous line when I read yours. Nose weights. Basics with a Tonka. Options, 1- hope it isn't a tail sitter with the JP 233s fitted 2- try to get some weight under the navs cockpit instruments 3- drill a hole under where the chin laser designator(?) sits & pour in liquid gravity & super glue. In fact will prob end up trying all 3!!!!
  11. As promised although slightly late its time for a photo update. Firstly back seater cockpit The tub Seats & front pit Hindenberg Tanks Rear fuse & fin fitted Forward Fuse
  12. It was the Orange badger that caught my eye too John. I shall have to find one of those books. Quite fancy an airforce of Tonkas.
  13. Yes dude search for Bare Metal Foil. It comes in different shades of metals if that makes sense. Really easy to use, just cut slightly larger than needed then remove backing film, put on & rub gently into position. If over a panel then cut to panel size with a scapel. Also good for canopy masking, but don't leave it on too long. PM me if you want a trial strip. ( make sure I can find it first) Pretty sure I got mine on evil bay.
  14. I have some spare stickie foil if your interested. I used some on my Lightning build if you want to see what it looks like.
