  1. The modeling world is anxiously awaiting the news from E-Day. If anyone is there and they have factual information as to what was announced this afternoon, please share it with the global modeling community!! We're all dying to know!!
  2. Every night I pray and recite the Lord's Prayer to sooth and rest my soul. After that I pray the Tamiya will bring out their P-38 and Spitfire Mk.I in 1/72 scale. The power of prayer has to work. Have faith....
  3. I'd sure like to get some sleep tonight and stop wondering about the next Arma release. Tomorrow is my 62nd birthday (August 24th), Arma please give me a styrene birthday present!!
  4. A Spitfire Mk.Va/b/c would be a very welcome kit. The Tamiya, Airfix, KP, etc. just don't hold up to today's standards. It's such an important aircraft and there are so many possibilities for markings. The Mk.V series served in every corner of the world and by all the Commonwealth countries. I think Arma would do a fantastic job of producing a state of the art, Spit V.....and I think they would do very well financially with that release. Fingers crossed.
  5. A Spit Mk.1 and Mk.Va/b/c would also be very welcome. I wonder if you'd get a better deal if you agreed to buy them by the case.
  6. I think they have an unexpected surprise up their sleeve. Something totally unexpected.
  7. If I were king, I'd go for: 1/72 Scale Mig-3 Ki-43 Oscar Ki-44 Tojo J3M Jack Spit Mk.1 Spit Mk.Va/b/c Ki-10 Perry Ki-27 Nate Okay, I'll stop now. Mark Copeland
  8. I think if they wanted to make money, a lot of money, one if the following: 1/72 Mig-3. 1/72 Ki-84 Frank 1/72 Oscar Family. 1/72 LAGG 5FN 1/72 Spitfire Mk. I 1/72 Spitfire Mk.Va/b 1/72 LAGG 3 1/72 Ki-43 Oscar Family 1/72 TBD Devastator Yeah, that's a good start. I love Arma an will buy anything they make. Mark Copeland
  9. I was so hoping to see either the Spitfire Mk.I or the P-38 released in 1/72nd scale as a 2022 release. I don't understand Tamiya's thinking. Is their business philosophy, "let's not do either one of those subjects in 1/72nd scale.....because they would sell.....and we would make money." Tamiya should get into the pallbearer business, that way they let modelers down on a daily basis, instead of just once a year. 2022 subjects are a yawn!! Here's hoping for next year..... 10. Fantastic!!! Thanks for the nice Christmas present ICM!! Mark Copeland Lakeville Minnesota n
  11. I've been building for well over 50 years in 1/72nd scale and have been waiting for a solid P-51B. Finally we have one. I ordered four for starters. We have to support a company that has the foresight to bring out these incredible models and I for one, am not worried about a few euros. It's like buying a bottle of cheap wine vs. spending a couple extra pounds or dollars on a better selection. You're going to enjoy it much more!!
  12. Thank you...thank you...thank you, Arma!! Put me down for a case. You have answered so many prayers!!! Mark Copeland Lakeville, Minnesota
  13. Has anyone heard an update from Mars Models on the Do-23?? I hope Covid hasn't killed that too.
  14. You took the words right out of my mouth. I having hoping to see this kit come to the forefront. Mars Models....please let us know when you can take our money???
  15. Clear Prop is leaving Eduard and Tamiya in the rear view mirror. I just received their Sonia and the two Clauses. I can't believe the detail. It's insane!! As for the LAGG series....I will be buying multiple!! If it was a P-51B/C series, I would be buying them by the case!! Mark Copeland Lakeville, Minnesota
  16. What fantastic news Clear Prop!! I can't believe you guys keep answering my modeling prayers!! Thank you for doing what you're doing!!
  17. Hello Everyone!! I wanted to post an inquiry regarding the Prototype Spitfire K5054 and a few questions regarding the cockpit and paint colors. I was beginning to compile some information on the Spitfire K5054 to begin the 1/72nd Czechmasters resin kit. I want to build the model and finish it as it appeared on March 5th, 1936, when "Mutt" Summers took her up on it's maiden test flight. Cockpit Colours: I was going to paint the seat in natural metal and the general cockpit in normal RAF Interior Green. Would that be correct? The research that I have done so far indicates that the instument panel would have been black and the red-brown boxlite seat wasn't in play at the time of the first flight. It was a metal seat, correct??? Sutton Harness: Would the Type 300 have a normal RAF Sutton Harness installed or a more conventional seat belt arrangement? Propeller Blades: Colour of the blades??? I was going to go with a light gray??? Anyone have any ideas on these questions. I have seen the replica model on display at the Tangmere Aviation Museum and the mock-up at Eastleigh Airfield. I have always had a love affair with this airplane and finally I am getting off my keester to build it!! Thank you all very much for the help!! Mark Copeland Lakeville, Minnesota USA
  18. Please excuse my "Yank-ness" for the improper term of the rank. I have a hard enought time with out American ranks sometimes!!

  21. Hello Everyone!! I am a new member to Britmodeler and am happy to join the forum. My name is Mark Copeland and I live in Lakeville, Minnesota and have been modeling for over 40 years. I build 1/72nd scale aircraft 1914-1945. I wanted to ask a question concerning the markings for a Bristol Blenheim Mk I that served in 57 Squadron in October of 1939. The particular aircraft I was interested in was serial number L 1141. It was shot down on October 16, 1939 near Lingen by Lt. Hans Volkurt Rosenboom. The pilot was Flight Officer Michael James Casey who became a POW. He participated in the "Great Escape" at Stalag Luft III and was unfortunately was one of "the fifty" who were executed by the Gestapo once he was captured. All my references tell me that the aircraft appeared to have the standard Dark Green and Dark Brown top surface camouflage with a Night Black undersurface. At the time, 57 Squadron was assigned the Squadron code of "DX" which would be in Light Gray. The question I have is what the individual aircraft code letter was for L 1141? Does anyone have a clue or a reference source to find the code? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Mark Copeland Lakeville, MN
