  1. Not updated this one for a while.. Construction all but complete ready for paint now. I plan to have her looking like she has been abandoned as in the header photo, but maybe a day or so later, so a little picked over.. The “Inside the Armour” turret base is wider than the kit part, so I had to modify the area’s around the turret ring, basically, move everything out my a couple of millimeters, fits now though!! Just a bit of masking off the interior so should get some undercoat on this afternoon
  2. Thanks for the comments... Not exactly sure, but it is only recent.
  3. This is the Fly model Jet Provost T.5/T.5A kit built OOB, with the exception of the Eduard Seatbelts and nose wheel leg, as a T.5A of 6 Flying Training School where it was used during the back end of 80’s and early 90’s, predominantly, for navigational training. All went together like a dream apart from the nose wheel leg that was next to useless, two tiny parts that really had no chance of survival, snapping almost as soon as was painted, I ended up making a replacement our of brass tubing. This is one where some white metal replacements would great…
  4. Dan matey, this just getting better and better... Keep it coming...
  5. This has been a “while I’m away” build.. Due to its size, I could work on this while being away from home with work. It’s the great little Sweet 1/144 Wildcat VI. I added the Brengun seat and harness, otherwise OOB. I have to say, even though the box top is a bit garish and you get a load of little cats as aircrew, the fit of this kit is exceptional, absolutely no filler and only a smidge of sanding! And to give it scale!
  6. Just recieved the latest SAMI and on the first page is a Fly models advert for Autum 2014 that has a 1/32 Westland Wessex HC.2....! Just had a poke around thier website and on the web in general and can't see anying else on it... Anyone have any news on this... Certainly one I'll be buying when it comes out..
  7. Very nice Dan The pre-shade photo could have passed off as a winter camo scheme...!
  8. Only two months! that's quick! I've been watching this one develop, I have to say I think the finished product is superb! Great detail all round, and some, technically, difficult modelling to achieve (such as the water) has all lead to a really great little diorama. Great job!
  9. Wow, this is a blast from the past...! Thanks guys, much appreciated
  10. I’m calling this one finished.. Built as part of the Harrier Single Type Group Build II, this is a BAe Sea Harrier FRS.1 XZ453 of 899 NAS. This aircraft was transferred to 801 NAS for the Falklands conflict and ultimately crashed into the sea following a collision with another Harrier, sadly, both pilots lost their lives The kit is the old Airfix kit, lots of help from aftermarket "stuff" Build thread is here:

  13. Been beavering away on the AVRE Engine fully installed, chassis almost done Then, I found this on Ian’s Kits for Cash site, bought and delivered quickly… Then a few nights starting with these… Cutting them into these Connecting them up To make these (a couple of shots of the first track completed) 73 links done, another 73 to go!!
  14. Not updated for a while, been tinkering away slowly, slowly… Initial paint on... And all the little bits…
  15. Good shout on the gearbox colour! Gearbox now painted green (even though it looks darker in the photo, oil wash is still wet!) and installed along with the (I think) fuel tanks. Shame these will be hidden when the engine and radiators are installed! Engine assembled as well..
  16. A quick update... Engine and gear box painted... I decided against puke green and silver as I believe this was the post war colour scheme so I went for black and white with some weathering...
  17. Here's my latest efforts.. Detail on.. And some of those loose bits.. Just a few bits to do on the undercarriage doors and it'll be ready for paint...
  18. Really cool! unless I'd seen the build thread though, I wouldn't have appreciated just how much work had gone into that single section! Just out of interest, how many of these spans do you get in the kit? Great work, keep it coming... Just re-read your first post.. that'll be three spans!!
  19. I've been away for a bit, made some progress though.. re-scribed the panel lines...
