This Wessex is in the Bournemouth museum, I believe that it was passed between the FAA and RAF and was used for various test and experimental "stuff", hence the RAF markings, I also think that the interior and external configuration is unique to this airframe because of the various test fits it has had over time. Go on, do a Vixen in crab markings... I dare you!!

Westland Wessex (1/48 Italeri + Eduard) - 26.1 DONE!
OzH replied to gregax's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
Sorry, taken me a while, but here it is.. Wessex stuff... -
Great start Hendie, you may not be that impressed with the Italeri kit, but if you think that's bad, see if you can get hold of one of the old Revell offerings and you'll see just how much things have come on... Here's a link to a load of Wessex photo's I have taken over the years, the first 6 are HC.2s the remainder are HU.5s but a lot of detail is common to both, might be of use...!

OzH’s 1/48 92 Sqn T.4 - Update 19 Dec
OzH replied to OzH's topic in E.E. Lightning Single Type Group Build
Goon news and bad… Got the front end on, glued, filled and filed down, looks like a T.4.. Then I noticed I was missing half the cockpit coming, must have knocked if off when I was getting it all together.. Searched the house, behind sofa cushions, even the hoover bag, but it would seem the carpet monster won this round….! So, spent the afternoon rebuilding the missing part Now ready for paint and the wings.. -
Great progress, keep it coming

A quick update on the Fire Tender I think I’ve just about sorted where the parts are going now.. Rishi, at the moment its all being superglued, just hope it lasts!! I undercoated and the cab is painted in Nato Black, then decided to add some details… Re-painted Nato Black and given a Klear coat -
Great detail on that seat...

OzHs 1/35 AFV Club Churchill Mk IV AVRE - Finished
OzH replied to OzH's topic in D-Day 70th Anniversary Group Build
All done... Looking at the original photo of “Cheetah” on the beach on D-Day, I would assume (as the wounded are lined up alone her track side), that she had either broken down or been knocked out. I’ve tried to finish her looking as she may have done on D-Day +1, some attempt has been made to get her going that has failed so she has been abandoned. Some kit has been “liberated”, the pioneer tools and kit rolls off the turret. -
Finished, almost, at the post! Managed to finish the AVRE off this afternoon, photo’s taken and posted in time for the GB close tonight. I'm with Tom here, for 1/48 the difficult bit would be to get some of the sqn crests/codes/special markings so that would be the priority for me please, then jam in as much "other stuff" as you can.... Please...

1/48 6x6 Crash/Fire Tender - Finished 24 Jan 15
OzH replied to OzH's topic in Work In Progress - Vehicles
Hi Colin Nope, neither will fit in the cab area, grid on the right, I think is a bump/skid plate for under the forward diff. Its the other two that I can't work out at the moment, top left looks like a radiator or something like that, but can't see where it would fit... Thanks though Oz -
Hi all This is my first attempt at a full white metal vehicle, so go easy on me!! I was perusing the stash yesterday and my eyes settled on this A Smith Auto Model Nubian 6x6 Carmicheal Fire Tender. I had bought this off ebay an while back with the intention of building it as one of those you used to be able to see across the fence when visiting Yeovilton A days worth of cleaning and assembling the 3 main components: Some dry fitting I still have these three pieces outstanding, not sure where they should go as they’re not called out in the instructions that I can see, I think they fit under the cab some how.. can anyone help??

OzH replied to AnonymousDFB1's topic in Future Group Build Archives
Hopefully, I'll be in with a 1/48 T.4, Neomega/Aeroclub cockpit on the Airfix kit, some other after market stuff and in 92 Sqn Markings. Putting off starting another new build so I can get this one done...!
