Thanks guys.. I was under the impression that the Attacker was the AVG designate, the, Bogue being CVE... Anyhow, I'll progress and see what I find out as I go.. Thanks for the tips on the armourment, I'll have to look into it further..

This will be my next project, Tamiya's 1/700 Bogue but she will be in Royal Navy livery of HMS Nabob I picked Nabob as she had an interesting history (as all the escort carriers did), she was involved in the operations to attack and sink Turpitz and was torpedoed and managed to limp home, only to be beached until after the war where she was converted to a cargo ship and served for many years in that role. This is my first ship since about 1971.. I was 6, so this will be a bit of a learning curve for me.. Any advice/tips will be welcome....! I'll be having a bit of help from this set that I came across on ebay Some other bits and pieces that I have picked up over time.. the air wing.. And references I've made a start, up to the hanger deck, with a little filling of sink marks on the hull And test fitted the flight deck And a first stab at a sea base...

This was my entry for the Lightning Group Build that, unfortunately, I failed to finish in time. She's made from the Airfix 1/48 F.1/F.2/F.3 with Neomega (and Aeroclub) two seat conversion set and a load of after market stuff… The original GB build thread can be found here if you're interested.. Not the best pictures I'm afraid, having trouble with my lightbooth/setup!

Thanks for the comments and encouragement... I think I'm going to be hard pushed to get this finished for 04 Jan, but hey, we can try..!! She's painted with Alclad and Tamiya.. tried to vary the finish, doesn't show so well in the photo's but looks ok to me...! -

Two weeks work here... Just about ready for paint... And the canopy complete, all six parts of it.. -
Ditto the live and learn thing!! I had always assumed it had made it to the FAA.... The numbering goes for the Whirlwind as well I think... 1 = RN, 2 = RAF etc...

Its a good day for Wessex... and that is a good Wessex!! Lovely job, always fancied doing a Hong Kong HC.2, I think they had this schema while out there as well.. Beautiful job!
