  1. Looks excellent !! Still waiting arrival of a couple I've ordered and can't wait to sniff plastic. Hope mine come up as good as this one. Congrats, Dennis. Rog
  2. That's lovely, Kev. Why does it look like the u/c's collapsed.......?? Rog
  3. The one sure result of pet ownership is a broken heart. We lost Tully, our Dane in August, quickly followed in Oct by Teddy, our Golden Retriever, so we're a dog free household at present and haven't got over it yet. Sincere condolences to you and your family, Edward, her memory will be maintained in your avatar. Rog
  4. Good to see you cleaned up all the drool and slobber stains rained upon it when you displayed it at the meeting last weekend, Bruce !! Other models cringe in shame when a 'Bruce-Build' is on the table ! Looking forward to your next effort......a Caribou in 48, perhaps....... :o} Rog
  5. That's one hell of a battlewagon....bloody lovely !!
  6. Yeeee-Ha, a Geophysica !! That'll go nicely alongside my Stratosphera M-17; and a Be-12P........ Oh, Happy Day !

    The Weather,

Yeah, saw it on the news all day. A years rain in 7 days doesn't bear thinking about ! We get excited if we get a 25mm dump ! Of course, the contents of the dam doesn't help, but the alternative would be even worse. Great to see everyone bogging in to help, gawd knows what the cleanup job will be like. You OK, Dennis ? Reckon if you are, you'd be one of a few. Floods in the tropics, fires in Tassie; they reckon it's gonna take 6 weeks to control it, no rain in sight. I'll see your one croc and raise you a couple of hundred kangaroos ! Good luck, we're thinking of you down here. Rog

    The Weather,

Yeah, we could use a bit [a BIG bit] too ! Almost no rain since early December. 39 today, mid to high 30's forecast all week......starting to get boring ! Webbed feet yet, Dennis ?
  9. That's a very nice example of a Luftwaffe aircraft which I've never seen modelled on this site. Sounds like it was a flying death trap ! Rog
  10. What a pretty little aircraft and, as usual, a great model. The boundary layer step is an intriguing and logical looking innovation. Rog
  11. Having been involved in weed spraying, although not by air, I'm horrified at the lack of protection those guys use. A local farmer is in terminal decay through failing to "cover up & clean up" over countless years of farm chemical use, and he ain't a pretty sight. Can't imagine how those guys will end up in a few years time. Anyway, we're moving [as usual] off topic of Moa's inspiring build.
  12. What a stunning model of an iconic crop-duster ! My immediate reaction was "father of the Airtruk" which we used to see crop spraying on the Upper Murray. Moa, are you aware that Sharkit have developed a resin model of the Airtruk, but in 1/48, so I'm sure you'd prefer to apply your scratch building skills to a 1/72 version which, by comparison with the 48, would end up the size of a large wasp........ Must get mine out and build it ! Rog
  13. Hi, Rob Beware of Airliners.net photo use - they have a serious policy about copyright. There's an article on one of the HOME sites warning of repercussions against BM. Suggest you delete and post a link. Rog PS I love Commandos, used to see the odd one at Heathrow back in the 50's, European charter use, perhaps. I NEED a kit !
  14. The annual application of salt and grit on even the least frosty roads put paid to numerous vehicles especially the salt which lodged in chassis members and steering arms, a cancer waiting to happen. A school friend had an Austin 7 saloon and, while driving round the lanes with 3 passengers, the whole body let go down one side and almost rolled off. We had to wind down the windows and hold on to it so we could [legally] get home. Of course, we could always have dumped the body and driven home with the car 'au naturelle', but I don't think the village bobby would have seen the funny side !! Rog
  15. I assume there's a motor somewhere.....or does the pilot have to pedal like crazy to [presumably] get it into the air ? Forward motion looks a tad optimistic....... [Personally, I think you're making half to these up........} :o} Rog

    The Weather,

    Errrr.........what's grass.....???

    The Weather,

8.30pm and 38c - is this the "cool" change we were promised after 46 here in Central Vic today ? Rattle can primer dries quickly ! "winter is coming"? Then we'll be moaning about the cold ! Any spare rain anywhere ? My tanks need drastic help !
  18. What a nice collection, specially like the Spitfire VB in desert scheme and the Red Arrows wannabe. Looking forward to how you go with the CANT, I recently built the Supermodel BV 138 which went together very well considering its age. Hope you have similar good fortune with a classic Italian. One day when I get a decent camera, learn how to post photos [read - when I can be fagged.......], must put up a yearbook of my own. Cheers.........Rog
  19. Angular ? Sounds interesting. What sort of angles ? right, pent, quad, ............? Anyone seen me coat ??

    The Weather,

Tomorrows forecast - 44c....... Hope the power grid can cope......and doesn't set the state alight...... Heat records being broken all over SE Oz !
  21. ....and, from South of the Border, a big welcome from part of the Mexican contingent......! Looking forward to seeing your ship modelling which, sadly, is a bit of a minority interest - I await being torpedoed by the shipbuilding fraternity.......although BM subject matter is as wide, varied and interesting as you could find ! Rog
  22. That's a very nice Kettenkrad - the driver thoughtfully avoiding the shrubbery. The various washes really bring it to life and the flora is magnificent. Must get my Dragon 1/9 version out from the bowels of the stash, your model has given me inspiration, Dan, and I'll be pretty chuffed if it comes out as well as yours ! Cheers, Rog
