I'm currently building a revell GR1 and was wondering what colours the BOZ pod and Sky shadow pods were painted. We're they left grey or were they painted desert pink? Any help much appreciated. Cheers, Sean

Great builds there, I especially like the Belgian F-16.
-
There's air rifle pellets and blue tac in the nose just to make sure, with the excess milliput thrown in for good measure
-
If you want to see one of these done properly, then this thread, http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/23686-172-revell-tornado-gr1-17-sqn/ , is the place to look. If I can get mine to look a tenth as good as that then I'll be a very happy teenager indeed.

When I built mine a couple of months ago I had big trouble with the CMK instrument coaming and as a result duffed up the front screen but yours looks excellent.

The way the wings sweep reminds me of a B-1B

Mini update already, all previously shown sub assemblies are together now and I have filled the gaps in the wing seals with milliput ready to sand and scribe tomorrow. Heres the progress in picture form; More progress tomorrow. Cheers, Sean

If they're anything like mine, they will get big enough to eat the cat never mind scare it. You can usually find milliput in model shops and I've even seen it in hardware shops

Those guineapigs must be quite small looking at that doorway, as for a smooth finish, try Mr Surfacer or a thin layer of milliput ( you can smooth it really well using a damp cloth or tissue)

Having finished my jag yesterday, I decided to press on and start this little beauty. Here's the familiar box; After an afternoon of enjoyable, easy work, I have most of the sub assemblies completed; It will be marked as a Gulf War bird using decals from model alliance. More progress tomorrow hopefully although I should really do some of my homework (yeah right!). Cheers, Sean

I've just started the one I have, but have another on order and I have a plan for that if it was given the ok.

Could you not build up the spine using plastic card and milliput?

Revell Lancaster AJ-Z - Dambuster Tribute

That's amazing! I remember when my dad told me about them and then showed me the film, amazing, really amazing. -
Decals heading your way as I type
-
You should definately get one, its a brilliant little kit apart from the pitot, it's a bit clunky compared to the rest of it. As for the GB, I've just put my name down for it with the tonka. Even if its not the one I have now, I may get another one soon.

You can count me in, I've got 1 revell tornado with the possibility of a second in the coming weeks Cheers, Sean
-
It'll be good if they include Patrouille de France decals, any decade, it doesn't really matter
-
Didn't think it would be that expensive, but then again it's big and probably well detailed.

The force clearly works and works well... That is a nice looking build. -
It's finished! Because I'm not as mobile today (knackered my foot) I used the time to get this finished. To begin with I was worried about the decals, they looked more cream than white on the sheet, but as it turned out they're fine. Overall I really enjoyed this kit, much nicer to build than the Hind, and fits nicely on the shelves (reasonably priced too compared with other Hasegawa kits). Only 2 pics for now, more, better quality pics will be in the RFI section on Monday (photo equipment is in the loft which I can't get at!) Top surfaces, Underside, Next up will be a revell tornado, but probably won't start it for a few weeks. Cheers, Sean

That was the exact kit I was thinking about! By the sound of reviews, there won't be much to compare...

It might be worth your while emailing revell to see what they can do about a replacement canopy. Don't know if they will help, but its worth a shot. And I think I may have spare mdc decals from an abandoned build of mine (the canopy was attached before it was put on the shelf of doom)

Is there any build threads? I can't find any on here

Hmmm, possible birthday pressie there then, that or the airfix merlin
