That's a nice price that your selling them for, although it is disappointing that the kyrten turret isn't included as you say.

Eduard P-39N Airacobra Weekend Edition

Blu-tak also works well as a nose weight (and it doesn't usually come loose and rattle around) -

Well I wasn't far off... Good luck building that monster, it'll be good to see it done. -

Got to be an alpha Romeo of old. Multi axel with road wheels (front and back axels), some bits fly (exploding engines and other gubbins) and for spacey, the effects of the smokey dashboard on your good self...Sean. -
Hasegawa 1/72 Jaguar GR1 UPDATED PICTURES!
Mozzy19 replied to Mozzy19's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Cheers guys. I think the hasegawa kit has a much better nose than the Italeri kit with the Italeri nose being way too pointy. -
Very nice. Was it you that had the in progress thread over on the ARC discussion forums with one of these (or this one)?

Buy shares in whatever masking tape company you use. You never know, you may get a discount...

Looks very nice, although I think I'll wait for the weekend edition (just cos I'm a cheapskate!) -
Looking good so far. Really must be getting me one soon...

Hasegawa 1/72 Jaguar GR1 UPDATED PICTURES!
Mozzy19 replied to Mozzy19's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Finally got round to taking some better pictures (I hope!). So here goes; As always, any advice and criticism is very welcome. Cheers, Sean. -
It was the enamel. It brushes well, it just needs a few hours to dry (or overnight) before the next coat, and it needs at least 2 coats.
-
Yeah I see what you mean. The group build one will be fairly standard.
-
It's finished, pretty much. Only a few touch ups and then adding the antenna. Should be in the RFI section tomorrow. Comments and criticism welcome. Cheers, Sean.
-
Cheers. It is a nice kit, the only tricky part was the cowling but even that wasn't a problem.
-
Cheers for the photos. Looks like I may have to add a few panel variations and more staining across the airframe. To be fair to Leuchars, it has only had bad weather in the last couple of years and 2001 (I think).

Tornado 45+79 "Spirit of Boelcke" in 1/72
Mozzy19 replied to hillstar's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
I think you're single handedly keeping revell in business with those kits! -
Cheers Jabba, I haven't toned it down at all, in fact I've added a little bit more around the cockpit sills and intakes. Today's progress has been adding all the decals to the airframe. It is marked as "Alarm Belle" (couldn't resist the shark mouth). Although after I took the photos, I managed to duff up the tail when I tried to do the thrust reverser staining and have now sanded it back and repainted it. This has meant I've lost the AB decal and while sanding I managed to crack off the starboard elevator and one of the little fins on the main tail (I have no idea what these are called!). I should hopefully have this finished by tomorrow. Comments and criticism welcome. Cheers, Sean.

Tornado 45+79 "Spirit of Boelcke" in 1/72

Ah I see, I was just surprised because it is such a nice little kit to build. If mine turns out to be anything like this one, I'll be very pleased because yours is a nice little plane. Have you got a mini tornado factory in your house, there seems to be a lot of these models posted and they're all yours! -

That's a little bit nice! Seeing as though I've almost finished mine and only started it on Wednesday, I'm surprised it took 2 years to finish, although looking at the decals and the quality of the finish, maybe I'm not so surprised. Again really nice build. Cheers, Sean. -
The 787 profiles don't seem accurate. None of them are on fire... I joke of course, very useful, thanks for posting them.
-
Ah so those lists were just to get the ball rolling, to show the initial interest in the group build.
-
Yep. I was hoping that it would go un-noticed but eagle eyes has undone that ambition...
