  1. -For having a lighter shade on panels, either I use a lightened basic color sprayed randomly ,or as in this case, some Tamiya weathering pastels if the background color permit it according to the availables patels colors afforded by Tamiya.
  2. - In fact I gave this Draken a wrong designation.,In truth, it is a S 35 E , "S" standing for Swedish "Spanning" which means reco, For the wing tanks I used the transkit "Apparat 15 " which inclued the two wing countermeasure pods and two wing pylons for the wing tanks from Maestro models
  3. -You are probably right my friend....I will not be burried with my money so..... great kits....High grade Whikies.... comfortable cars and lets go ;it will happen what is to be happened ......Oh I forget Girls.....I'm still looking after them but I don't remember for which purpose...............thank you for my flying clog ...J.M.
  4. -As it is, my main concern is how to show the jungle of wires and pipes in the bomb bay and in a lesser part in the three crew stations -I have experienced a mishap with the clear parts as I stepped inadvertantly on the pilot canopy..... guess the result.....! I immediatly mail to HPH and I got a whole clear parts set as replacement . They are really trusty guys
  5. -It will be either Soviet or East German,I haven't still make my mind.
  6. - I bought it at Telford SMW last year. but HPH have a web site I think it could possible to get one by this way
  7. - I built this model before Aires had issued its photo nose so I used the Maestro one - The nose probe is a bit droping.....
  8. - This is my next big project, the Beagle in resin from HPH in 48 scale. -The resin is smooth an strog, devoid of bubbles, the parts are numerous, which promises to give a very detailed model, the three member crew positions are very well furnished as is the bomb bay with its structure and weapons.. - Every landing gear struts are in resin too but reinforced by a metal rod.The clear parts are in resin too with all the frames neatly rised. The painted photoetched part covers all the instrumentations available to the crew . But the tyniest parts for an host of knobs are unusable being really too small. - The decals sheet cover only two machines, a Soviet and a camouflaged Chinese one - The notice is to be printed from a DVD, and at first glance it seems the differents parts are difficult to identify. - Building this model is quite a challenge.
  9. -A very rare machine seldom seen in model, .This kit in 48 scale is made from the transkit from North Wing Model Craft; It consist of a resin new fuselage and canopy mated to a standard Hien from Hasegawa
  10. -The tank is right from the kit, I elected to install only one tank, just by fantasy as most often the draken were fitted with two owing to its rather short legs as most ot its contemporary mates
  11. No tricks, the assembly goes fairly well
  12. -Hi ROM1 there you are...! I missed your post on the french forums, your job is wonderful
  13. -Very nice looking little machine, the paint job is wonderful
  14. -Well, for the paint, in those days I used Alclad with some weathering powder from Tamiya, as Model master metallic colors I used previously were no more available .Nowadays I use Rub'nbuff ,see my Starfires ,but I'm still not entirely satisfied with this and I'll propbably revert to the Alclad. - For the transkit it requires a few surgeonnery concerning the fuselage spine but very easy to perform as long as it is used as required by Maestro, if you want to open the canopy for instance, some more work is needed which may lead to the mishap shown on the photo with the windscreen, furnishing the inside of the canopy and building an internal windscreen form scratch between the forward and rear seats are mandatory, but there is nothing impossible to do
  15. -WW I is not my favourite period for modelling, too much troubles with the struts and wings probably, but when I see such a beatifully realized nightmare (for me ) I have no other solution than to applause with both hands.......
  16. -A two seater with the Maestro transkit - An SK 35. with problems around the windscreen (fixed since.. )
  17. - In 48 Scale this is the Hasegawa kit, with some transkits from Maestro for the canopy, air intakes and rear fuselage. The wing gun is from Aires if my memory don't fail
  18. - I really didn't experienced problems with these decals, they just need a longer time to separate from the backing paper compared to the now standard decals and for safety in respect of the adherence on the paint I dipt them in a solution of water and white glue (rougly 5% )
  19. This is the last of my recenlyt built models. In fact I built the two Starfires and T-Bird simultaenously in an assembly line fashion owing to the similarity of the model .
  20. - Thank you for your comments. For the NMF; I use the old Rub'n Buff . I've been coached by a friend, Mr Paul COUDEYRETTE .This is an example of what he get with this stuff
