  1. -Well done Compadre , I particularly note the different shade of weathering on the external parts of the wngs less exposed to the elements than the fuselage as they are folded when parked on the carrier deck...
  2. Hi Fozzy , I'm a regular user of what I call "beer can skin"cut right from the can, what do you mean by "annealed"?
  3. Well Richie, for me ,it's a work on a WHIRLWIND Mk I in 32 with flaps down and nose cone removed to show in scratch the guns installation - with problems with guns barrels and ammo drums .......amongst some other "minor" things most of which depends on the good will of the post office..
  4. -The crank case of your engine is a masterpice by itself.......
  5. -Well...! "Richie is back and he is angry" Where is the guy speaking of a week or two break?........Few days are enough as it seems.......No doubt you are definitively......... a MODELLER my friend
  6. - I'm O.K for the rum time- half a rum glass with some candy sugar in the bottom, a lemon slice; an ice cube (not more to avoid killing the rum)...... or not,.... stirr well until de sugar melt, unless the sugar is liqid - even better with Antillean blood saussage......... Enjoy your break
  7. - Often good things emerge from bad ones.......It has been the signal that it's time to take a break; the damages are serious but not that difficult to cure for a modeller in your class, "keep calm and drink cool" as we use to say here, in a week or two the time will come to take the road again; See you later my friend.. J.M
  8. Hi Max,

    - Happy to see you back on the line. With the age coming we become fragile little things.......

    - I won't do this again.........

    - On the modelling front, I'm working on a Whirlwind Mk I from I.C.M; My first idea was to built it OOB just to wash my brain after the Gauntlet, but the devil of the modellesr tempted me with possibiliies like the flaps down and above, all a detailed gun compartment. so.... . Owing to my poor photographic skill I hesitate to post it in W.I.P...

    -The best for your Demon

Merci mon ami. Tout va bien pour moi a l’exception d’un mauvais dos! 😪

I am joining in the “Not my comfort zone” GB starting next week building a Hawker Fury. Being a 1/32 scale modeller, 1/72 scale is definitely not in my comfort zone. It’s only a bit of fun and I hope won’t take too long and will definitely be OOB!

The Whirlwind, ah what a lovely aeroplane! They used to fly from RAF Warmwell, only a few kms from where I used to live, and they built them close to where I live now! With the right engines they could have been one of the greats along with the Mosquito etc. No WiP peut etre but an RFI bien sur?

Great to hear from you JM

      Amicalement

      Ton ami Max

  9. -Thank you for hosting Richie -Watch your M.P Max..
  10. -Great news Max.....! -A Demon..?..Hey Hey;...
  11. -Thank you Richie, the Gauntlet had been a damm good experience I won't had brought to fruitition without the support you brought me together with Galgos which seem to have vanished under the radar screens. I'm working now on a Whirlwind Mk I, 32 from I.C.M, the objectiv being to show the very particular flap assembly down and the attractiv 4 H.S guns compartment open scratch built. Finger crossed.....!
  12. - FABULOUS -It is goldsmithery Richie-
  13. -Keep on Ritchie,it appears that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.......
  14. - Great modelling lesson.......
  15. - Thank you for the lesson.....To be kept in mind
  16. - What a lesson......!!! I've used Flory on many of my models without reaching the tenth of your result, ....
  17. -I wish you the best to definitvely overcome this last minute paint trouble. You've found the right solution. In modelling problems come often from what seems like simple routine
  18. - I have just discovered this post.......What a monster...!!!! I cannot imagine the amount of work it requires.......::! and in vacu above all.......I fall on my behind..!
  19. - What a tremendous job Ritchie......!!!
  20. -Hi Jeannot, -Sorry my friend, I didn't change my usual photo system, it a could be a trick of some facetious gremlin. If you saw my previous photos, it could be a passing bug somewhere in your computer or elsewhere..
  21. -Thank you Matt, the only Gladiator I have is a Finnish camouflaged one.....
  22. - May be bit late... - - For your eye don't worry, nothing alarming, when I was a kid, it happens sometime and my Grand Ma said I had peered through a key hole....... ...
