  1. - Back on the modelling scene after a week spent together with our 3 cats on the french side of the Spanish border, no Patrouille de France Alpha Jets, just two Rafales overflying low the beach line, could be in the hope to see in blink some beauties sunburning their charms ?.........Noooo ! of course Please don't wake me up
  2. - I didn't knew your were such a personmality My Lord !!!!!.. They without doubt knew your modelling prowess.......The only thing you have to do now is to built Macchi MB 339 and send it them with this splendid photo....
  3. - What a great 152 Charlie, the paint chipping at the wing root is remarquable
  4. - Beautiful work ! As many of us,I've been puzzled by the green propeller, I've been grown since my modelling childhood with the idea that all Japs Propellers were red brown. I'm falling from my palmtree,,this shows that all the truths are never acquired.Yet another urban legend exploded......
  5. - A possibility coud be inserting some C.A glue drops through the channel of the dorsal spine as it's clear part is not installed yet or drilling tiny holes on both side fore and aft of the putty and a sringe, the holes being easy to fix.... Or simply a length of plastic rod inserted through this channel will prevent it to move
  6. -It stinks - Your idea is the best no doubt it will work
  7. - I Agree with Graham - To prevent too much air to be sucked an exhaust is needed to expell the surplus hence the permanently open rectangular slots- In the contrary when much air is needed notably at low speed when more air is needed by the engine during somme flight configuration, when the airflow is not optimum for the engine special spring loaded intakes are required, the best exemple are the numerous auxillary intakes on the Harrier -I don't know however if the version you built had both item..This one is n F-6, the bulge is the rear of those famed Sabrinas
  8. - Blood test....!!! AAAAAARGH 😬 - That remind me I have to pay visit to the vampire club within two weeks, then visit to the Doc, is not the worst, a former military doc, it wil be the opportunity to share a glass of its excellent whisky -(a CAOL ILA)- but I have two squadron warrant officers at home which are not so amendable......... - I hope you enjoy your flamed bananas......😇 - Your Lewis will be fine on the cowling of your Be2
  9. - For me it should be option 2 with open canopy as a closed one make the inside almost invisible
  10. - I particularly like the way you cope with those intakes and vents they are top notched- These items has always been problematic for me mostly on my 48 scale above all the grids
  11. - I agree, knowing the rudimentary photo technics of the day, If my memory don't fail ,photos are to be taken on glass pane, which means one photo at a time so one overflght of the objectiv, sure they were crazy..... About memory failure to help recover, dou you know the rhum flamed bananas ?
  12. - No later as yesterday evenning I read that a Fench WWI ace, Albert DULLIN, had installed such camera of British origin behind his seat on his Nieuport fighter. The photo published in th magazine is the same general view that the one you sent on your post. -According to the photo of the time you published, it seem evident that this device was to be hand opérated, so I wonder how this guy managed to reach it in flight strapped on his seat, his fighter being a single seater..
  13. I didn't knew crickett was so dangerous.-white rhum glass with a few brown cane syrup and a drucked green lemon slice inside can cure everythings but just in case, let me wish you this mishap didn't prevent you modelling- The worse is that will not scratch your left ear for some time - And its is not an excuse to resume the fags...😇 😂 Bon courage mon ami it will not be long to recover a working pinky
  14. - Excellent, where to buy these kits ?
  15. - - What a good idea, perfectly unexpected.... you managed the surprise to the last moment....No doubt this will be another success in the success
  16. - Very inspiring work on the ribs thanks for the lesson
  17. - You still can find some around the bottle neck of red wine , either Bordeaux or Burgondy , or eventuallly white Elsass wine
  18. - Your blue looks right, in those days, it was darker than today and lighter than its RAF counterpart; You will need the same for the wing roundels.
  19. -I knew that lead foil but seldom used it. - I can see it can be used for plenty of things. it never came to my mind to use it for other occasion than seat belts.... Thanks Max
  20. -For those slots why don't you try can skin, the metal lend itself for such shape, the problem is the size of the whole
  21. -I'm afraid you'll be obliged to use the vacformed part as the fuselage cannot be widened. A surgery on the AM part will ruin it. In front of this problem I will try to use the ugly vacform as a template for a beer can skinl shape and drill the holes for the dials - AIRSCALE give a range of dials in different scales which could do the job
  22. - Wow....Flying in the only twoseater Hurricane warbird......!!!!!! Hat Off my Lord......The Hunter a bold project I will follow it with great interest
