  1. Fantastic. Thank you for that. I have been looking for this for years .
  2. Thank you for clearing that one up. Time to get started then.
  3. I have hear rumours the the Gannet CODs had a second seat added to the rear cabin. I have searched for images without luck. A few years ago someone mentioned that the Gannet in the FAA museum store has this arrangement but it is inaccessible for photographs. Is there anyone out there that knows more about this?
  4. I am looking for help on the all yellow Anson trainers operated from Hamble after the war. There is an ASV scanner mounted under the nose but I have been unable to find any information on the relevant interior fit. I can work out the kit from Firefly rear cockpits but I am unclear where it would be in the Anson trainers. Was it added to the Radio operators station or was a new station created elsewhere in the cabin? I realise this is a longshot but any info or informed guesses would be very welcome.
  5. This is just what I need to model the landing pad (1/48). Could you give me the width of the hull? I can work out the rest from there.
  6. Thank everyone. Especially good to see new photographs of Atlantic Conveyor's deck. Have proved hard to find, guess they were busy with other things at the time.
  7. I am looking for some advice on how to model a Sea Harrier tied down to a carrier deck ( or in my case, Atlantic Conveyor). Does anyone have any detail on how this was done or better still, is there any aftermarket out there that would help? All I can find is the USN Infini set which appears to be different from the RN system.
  8. I have great confidence in these guys. I was lucky enough to join in a conversation with them on Arthur Bentley's stand at the Nats last year. They have a real commitment to accuracy and an obvious love of the Hornet. With Arthur Bentley's help they have access to the best information that is out there. Capturing the subtlety of line of a very beautiful machine will not be easy and will require real care. I am convinced these guys get it and cant wait to see what they come up with. Good luck.
  9. These look great. Is there also a possibility of printing the exhausts at 1/48 to replace the inaccurate items on the hasegawa kit?
  10. Thank you Bill, Just what I have been looking for. Don’t know how I missed it
  11. Hi Ian. If you can get a shot of the rear cockpit it would be great. I have been looking for years without success. I suspect the test equipment may have been stripped out but it would be great if it’s still there !
  12. Hi Melvyn. If Fantasy Printshop are able to print more I would love to have a set. Happy to contribute to set up costs if they are a special
  13. Hi Melvyn. This is a truly inspirational thread, especially in what are difficult times for all of us, but most especially for you. Your cheerfulness is humbling. I wish you all the best for the future, your spirit means a lot for all of us who read this I have been attempting the same project but sadly it had been on the shelf of doom for Rather too long. After reading your thread it is now back on the bench. I got stuck on sourcing the white codes. You mentioned Airscale but I can only see black codes on their website. Do they do specials. all the best Melvyn, keep drinking the apple juice!🤒
  14. Hi Zigster. I think what we are looking at is a one off field modification. This is a non standard liberated vehicle. My guess it that the original wide tyres were unavailable and that someone has used overinflated narrow tyres as a substitute. That would account for the wierd bulge and narrow tread. That said. how to model it? I cant see any of the aftermarket wheel manufacturers going for a one off. I have been puzzling over this one for a while now. It might be posible to turn down the original Tamiya wheels and add tread from something else, the photograph shows a road type tread.
  15. I think this is a harsh view. I am keenly awaiting the new 1/32 P11c. I now know that 3 more 1/32 kits are being planned which is nice Variations on the P11c or diffent aircraft? Dunno. I can wait, and speculate. All part of the fun, after all it is only a hobby!
