  1. I have just pulled out of my stash my two Fujimi enthusiast 365s, the coupe and the spyder. Am seriously considering building these as a pair, quite soon. Just need time to clear the bench of some current work... Alan.
  2. P.S. I would also like the Tamiya XR4i as well. Have you seen the prices on 'te Bay? Bloomin' Heck!
  3. Nice job! We all have models that fight us all the way to the finish line. (I have a number of DNFs!) In some perverse way, these are the kits we tend to be the proudest of, because of the fight they put up. Well saved! Cheers, Alan.
  4. I have driven two Ford XRs. An original XR3 (Carburetted) - which was OK. The other was a Sierra XR4i - which was a hoot! Wouldn't mind one of those, just for nostalgia's sake...
  5. Strewth! I thought that my stash was large. Even if you included all my aircraft and armour models, it wouldn't come to that much. And my wife is telling me I have too many to make anyway! Cheers, Alan.
  6. I haven't got a Macro lens! (Wish I had though...)
  7. Hi Lee, I had this kit more years ago that I care to remember. Eventually succumbed to the great model bike home in the sky... I wish I could find another one. Been looking, but never saw one. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled... Really good start, by the way. Love it! Cheers, Alan.
  8. My latest 'wheels' is a KIA XCeed. It's more of a crossover than an SUV, but it's not a bad load-lugger for the tip, and you do have an elevated driving position. It wouldn't handle muddy fields well though. Cheers, Alan.
  9. I was going to say that as well! Numb bum time...
  10. Apparently, in an interview, Patrick McGoohan , who was behind 'The Prisoner' said that they hadn't a clue what was going on either, and that the end was cobbled together as a conclusion because the studio decided to can it.. How true that is, I don't know. Cheers, Alan.
  11. I once owned a 1983 Honda VF750-F. Thought the back tyre was massive! Compared to modern bikes, it was, in reality a bit "thin" Wish I still had it though ... sigh! Cheers, Alan.
  12. If I recall, Tamiya acrylics in the early 80s did use the proper spelling ... I could probably check, as I have some of the 20ml bottles I bought years ago! Cheers. Alan.
  13. Hi Andy, Experimenting with stuff is all part of the hobby! I always make sure that I have plenty of Mr Color levelling thinners. I have discovered a couple of things though in all my experimentation. Some paints don't like mixing with levelling thinners. Humbrol acrylic goes thicker, rather than thinner! Citadel paints turn to a thick sludge! I suspect, though I haven't checked, that Revell Aqua would do the same. As Tamiya and Mr Color paints are some kind of lacquer based acrylic, they do work really well with the levelling thinners. That's why the Zero Paints seem to mix well with it as well. Cheers, Alan.
  14. Love this! I agree about getting the primer coat as smooth as possible. I have recently started diluting Zero Paints grey primer with Mr Color levelling thinners, about 50-50. I'm not sure if this is sensible, but I am getting really good smooth finishes. It doesn't seem to clog up the airbrush, the finish seems pretty durable and I'll keep doing it as it means less correction after spraying. I'm glad that the weather is beginning to improve, as I have a shed-load of priming to do for my modelling to continue. Cheers, Alan.
  15. Nice Clip-ons... Cheers, Alan.
  16. I must buy some BMF .... Cheers, Alan.
  17. A couple of days ago, a reasonably tidy Citroen Xantia. Seems in daily use, as I have spotted it few times lately. Rare these days... Cheers, Alan.
  18. Tell me about it! Officially a pensioner now! Diabetes, Asthma ... old! Cheers, Alan. P.S. Happy birthday. Hope you get well enough to continue your hobby!
  19. Good grief! I missed that one! I'll have to keep an eye out for that! Cheers, Alan.
  20. Whilst out on my daily walk, a Porsche Taycan, twice!
  21. I have always had a soft spot for red (I know this one's green!). There's an immaculate example in red, in our village. Cheers, Alan.
  22. My Wife states that Bagpuss was Orange on their B&W TV! We were really privileged. We had a Colour TV! Cheers, Alan.
  23. Hi Keith, I image nail varnish is pretty tough when cured, judging by the way my daughters nails seem to last before cracking/flaking. She is fastidious, as soon a a chip appears, off the varnish comes... Lovely colour, BTW, Cheers, Alan.
