  1. I have been watching a YouTube video by a guy (Number 27) who bought a 308 during lock-down and has been journaling his odyssey getting the car to run properly. In the latest episode, he had to remove the front bank cylinder head and that was a right night-mare. So, a right bugger to service' sounds about right! Cheers, Alan.
  2. I prefer good old English Ale myself. Still an absolute stunner of a build! Let's have more of these 'odd-balls' Cheers, Alan.
  3. Lovely! I built mine bog-standard (See my avatar). Nice easy to build kit, but the decals were a true pig. No amount of decal solution would make the blighters conform. Certainly not on the licence plates anyway! Yours looks stunning! Cheers, Alan.
  4. I love this car! Had this kit way back in the day. I have been looking around for a long time to find one, but when they do turn up, the price is astronomical! Cheers, Alan.
  5. Gotta love the Wolseley. I had one briefly in 1972. Pale blue. Never got to drive it though. replaced it with a 1963 Mini 850. Cheers, Alan.
  6. I haven't listened to any ELO for the last few months, must spin some up on Spottify... Cheers, Alan. P.S. I think the first ELO single I bought was "Roll over Beethoven", about 1972/3? (Where do the years go?)
  7. Absolutely marvellous! 1/43rd = wobbly eye-balls (At least for me ,,, ) Cheers, Alan.
  8. Superb! I just looked. Jadlam have them in stock. I might just b tempted. Cheers, Alan.
  9. What a wonderful beast! I just love the Mk 1 Cortina tail-lights.... Cheers, Alan.
  10. I don't know how old your kit is, but I have found that the tubing supplied bets 'rigid' and non-pliant after a number of years and no amount of warming will make them pliable. I have taken to using silicone rubber tubing of the correct diameter instead. AFAIK, this stuff remains more flexible for longer than the (usually) vinyl tubing supplied. In my opinion, it looks more rubber like as well. I have bought small-ish lengths (about 5 or 10 metre) from Hilltop Products, and found their service to be very good. Cheers, Alan.
  11. he first time I did that was in a Chrysler FWD tin box in the winter of 1985 in Toronto. Hit a patch of black ice on the highway, had to brake. One front wheel locked, tried to compensate, the other locked. I fishtailed and then lost complete control, spun at least twice. Ended up on the hard shoulder at 90 degrees to the traffic! I was in the third lane when this all kicked off. Never hit a thing. I was a bit more cautious after that! Cheers, Alan.
  12. Not in the UK! When you go off-roading here, everything gets covered in mud! Cheers, Alan.
  13. That looks lethal, possibly to the operator as well!!!
  14. Easily available in Sainsburys more or less anywhere! Cheers, Alan

  16. Absolutely nothing wrong wit a '50s Cresta! Cheers, Alan.
  17. That reminds me, Including all the others above, I saw: An immaculate original Mini in pale green and a very sad looking Citroen DS21 in need of much love... Cheers, Alan.
  18. Spotted Friday/Saturday near Manchester (If I can remember them all). No pictures as I was in the car. Aston Martin DBX - Dark metallic green Caterham 7 - They are so small! A very tidy 3 series cabrio - first shape. Some kind of Ferrari in red Dodge Charger in black (20nn year) Cheers, Alan. P.S. If I remember the others, I'll update this.
  19. That is one seriously battle-hardened X-Wing! Looks really good! Cheers, Alan.
  20. This weekend at Cribbs Causeway (Mall near Bristol), A current shape 'Bullitt' Mustang! Gorgeous!
  21. Lovely! I have a love-hate relationship with yellow paint. I painted my Tamiya 300 ZX Turbo yellow (X-8? or the Zero Paints equivalent!) and somehow didn't spray the front wings enough and now they look decidedly 'murky' compared to the bonnet! I never posted it in the RFI section. Not good enough? I don't know. I keep thinking of masking off the thing and re-covering the wings with more yellow. Anyway, yours looks really smart! Cheers, Alan.
  22. One of my all-time favourite Science Fiction Movies. Leslie Nielsen in a serious role as well... Cheers, Alan.
  23. Love that Buell! Rarer than Hen's teeth in the UK. Used to be a Buell Dealer in Bridgwater some time back before HD shut the Buell line down. It's a HD and Ducati dealership now. Cheers, Alan.
