  1. I saw that one as well, many times. I wonder if he/she ever did sell it?
  2. I suspect that as these kits are made to be put together and taken apart again, they are not Polystyrene. My guess is that they are made of ABS or similar. I believe that Lego bricks are ABS. If you want to paint it, I suggest that you prime it with a grey primer I use Zero-paints grey primer myself, but many here use Halfords grey primer. This will protect the plastic from the solvents in the top colour. Also, only spray thin coats as this also reduces the potential for the solvents to dissolve the plastic. Sorry if I am 'teaching Grandma to suck eggs' Cheers, Alan.
  3. My memory from the 60s is the running riots/punch-ups in Brighton on Bank holidays. Mods and Rockers did not mix, except for those riots... Most of my mates preferred oily old Trumpets and Nortons. One of my friends at school owned a Norton Commando with drop-bars, Ogri style... Still didn't stop then from listening to the Who! (Quadrophenia, anyone?) Cheers, Alan.
  4. Gotta love the white Zephyr 4. My dad had one of those in the mid 60s. Same spec, white with Red interior. Not LHD though. That must be quite rare! Cheers, Alan.
  5. What about C120! A whole 2 hours, if you were lucky enough for it not to get tangled up inside the cassette player! Cheers, Alan.
  6. My dream bike when I was 16! I eventually owned a VF750F in the early 80s. A totally different beast admittedly, but I still hanker after the original CB750... Cheers, Alan.
  7. That was a strange but compelling movie and with an ambiguous ending. Really unusual for a US movie at the time. Cheers, Alan.
  8. That Escort Fiesta reminds me of a Capri pick-up a friend of mine had back in the early 80s. Sorry no pics. No mobile phones for the hoi-poloi in those days.
  9. That Mustang. Not the prettiest. I once had a ride from Toronto to Niagara on the Lake on a 5-litre one of these, back in the late 80s. Not hugely roomy in the back, but OK for the 2-3 hour drive. (I am only 5' 4")
  10. That looks truly disgusting! Proportions are all wrong.....
  11. I lived in Toronto for a year in 1988 and a colleague at my workplace had one of these. In the red. Really pretty little car in the tin. Wouldn't mind owning the real thing, if one was available in the UK. A few have been privately imported, I think. Looking forward to seeing this thread progressing. Cheers, Alan. P.S. Just found one in the west midlands - £20,000. Out of my price bracket right now...
  12. This is model making at a skill level way beyond my abilities. However, I find this sort of thing inspiring, making me want to do even better. My attitude is 'Just do your best', a lesson I tried, and succeeded, I think to teach my children. Cheers, Alan.
  13. If any of my work is half as good as that, I would be very pleased. Stunning work! It will look superb when finished. Cheers, Alan.
  14. I vaguely remember having this issue of the chassis not fitting the floorpan well when I built the ESCI version 40 years ago. Worth bearing in mind if I ever get the Italeri version sometime in the future, pension willing.... Cheers, Alan.
  15. This transkit has been on my radar for quite some time. Just need to seventy quid plus the Revell kit, that's all... Cheers, Alan.
  16. Out for my morning walk yesterday, saw one of those little Citroen Ami electric devices. Strange looking thing. Cheers, Alan.
  17. Love the Imp. Would love to own one. That 'Sud seems to be a face-lifted model with those rear lights. Mine was a 1979 model and the rear lights were quite different, I'm sure. Some lovely cars there. Cheers, Alan
  18. Spotted the other day, an immaculate red XJS V12. It had quad pipes out the back, which I am certain wasn't OEM. Burbled beautifully with an unmistakeable v12 burble - was at low revs, trickling into our local Tesco Express car-park. Cheers, Alan.
  19. Hi Jeroen, That looks superb! It would look really good alongside the Heller Petit Gris, wouldn't it ... Just sayin' Cheers, Alan.
  20. That colour scheme. Hideous and wonderful at the same time. Pity it's going into the scraps box... Cheers, Alan.
  21. I'm a bit scared to mention this, but here goes. An Orange and white VW ID Buzz last week. (No picture unfortunately) Quite striking, actually. I liked it. Cheers, Alan.
