  1. that would be great if you have them - thank you great idea - thank you
  2. Ok so I've picked up on this build which I started in 2021 and lost interest in for a while! I'm now finding things are missing and could do with some help. So the main machine gun is missing and I'm wondering if I can get an aftermarket replacement in this scale (1:32)? I've contacted airfix spares and they don't have any spares for this kit. Also I missing the part (146) which fits directly under the engine cowling and in front of the front wheel axel. Figure I might need to fashion one myself - has anyone any ideas how to do it? The figures are missing but I'm not so bothered about them! thanks Chris
  3. thats a stunning build. I know what you mean about those Kitty Hawk kits - I've been trying to build the jaguar one for 7 years and nothing fits!
  4. Hi - thanks for the comments and as regards the exhaust its just how it turned out to be honest!
  5. This the third Italeri 1:32 Starfighter and I think it is an excellent kit. II've wanted to do a Spanish version for some time and am pleased with the result. I added Eduard cockpit detail and masks but otherwise it is all OOB. I used Revell enamel for main ADG colour and Alclad for the meta parts. I haven't attched the wing tanks permananently as I quite like it without them - I have shown photos with and without below. Big thanks to MikeC who kindly sent me some decals after a cock up! Also thanks to other memebers on here for help with the colour for the main colour - appreciated. I have an Italeri 1:32 F104 A/C to do although I might see if I can swap that for a 104G so I can do a Belgian or Dutch Starfighter.
  6. many thanks for all your kind comments - thinking anAmiens raid version might be next!
  7. Tamiya 1:48 Mosquito FB VI representing RAF Coastal Command June 1944. Thoroughly enjoyed this build and apart from canopy masks it was all OOB. Paints were Tamiya, Gunze and Alclad and some weathering from Ultimate Products. The Mossie has long been one of my favourites but surprisngly I've not built one before so decided it was high time! Planning on doing some more soon.
  8. just coming back to this I think the ADC grey is probably the way to go - any suggestions on paints for this? I was looking at Revell 371 which is a very pale grey but not sure if its right thanks chris
  9. I am currently building my third Italeri 1:32 Starfighter and this time its the TF104. I am thinking about do the Spanish option but not sure about the colour call outs in the instructions which seem to suggest flat aluminium. From photographs I've seen they appear to be more of a very light grey colour for the main overall colour. Can anyone advice me on what the correct colours would be? thanks Chris
  10. thanks for all your kind comments - In fact it was given a good clean on wednesday along with my other Lightnings as they are all a bit dusty! cheers chris
  11. Hi - thanks for the message but to be honest I can't remember as it was 4 or 5 years ago I built it! Good luck with your build and look forward to the finished article cheers chris
  12. this is good news and I like the sound of their Vampire too
  13. ok thanks for your help gents - gives me something to ponder over! Would they have painted over the grey interior as I am thinking they may have left this as is? thanks chris
  14. I bought this kit a few years ago and decided it woule be my next project as the last time i built one was in the very early 1980's! So given this is Rommels machine and Afrika Korps should the inside be the same colour as the outside as the call out is for dark grey? Second the outside colour is given as Humbrol 74 Linen but this doesn't look right. What is the right colour for the 'yellow' and the camo 'grey'? I use Tamiya, Gunze and Vallejo in the main Finally what are the correct colurs for the Afrika Korps uniforms - the kit gives me Rommel himself, a driver and another officer Many thanks! Chris
  15. ok good to know and thanks. Looks like I will be building a nice shiny one!
  16. I've got the Italeri 1:32 F104A/C coming next week and was thinking about making the JASDF version out of it. Anyone know if this is possible? Thanks Chris
