I've been waiting since last December for a pair of Hunter T.8M conversion sets that I ordered & paid for through paypal. Despite many tries I managed to get just one response from the proprietor. I get the distinct impression that this was a one man operation that couldn't cope with the level of interest his website generated.

Caught a brief glimpse of one of these beautiful ladies as she headed towards Birmingham this afternoon. She looked majestic & appeared considerably lower & faster than the usual commercial traffic that heads past Kenilworth towards BHX. Even better my 4 year old son was with me we watched her trail at least one drouge and talked about the aeroplane petrol tanker! She was so much more son, one day you'll understand!

I have to second Ian's nomination. He took my last stash off my hands for a not inconsiderable sum. I suggest you list everything you have (I used Excel) and talk it through. You should remember that a 2nd hand kit vendor is precisely that - he needs to make a profit on the deal so the price offered is likely to be less than if you did put them all on eBay yourself.

Westland Whirlwind HAS7 - 824NAS 1963
Edge replied to CT Modeller's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
That is absolutely beautiful. I have this combination hidden away until my talent improves to somewhere near my ambition and hope it looks half as good as yours. -
Wow!

We need a new tooling of an Avro Shackleton
Edge replied to thepureness's topic in Aircraft Cold War
I'd love to see a modern, well tooled kit of the Shackleton. There are quite a few variants and colour schemes to make it interesting! -
I was lucky enough to find an unused Iwata HP-CS and Little Jet (I think) compressor on the Preloved site for a very reasonable £90. May be worth a search for something similar?

If it does close (and I sincerely hope that it doesn't), I think the Cold War display at Cosford would benefit from having the Shackleton on display. Next to (or near) the Nimrod & Neptune to give a potted history of post-war Maritime patrol aircraft perhaps?

Hi Colin. That's brilliant news! I'm sure there are a few others here who'll raise a cheer to hear it's still on the cards too. G

Hope it's acceptable to resurrect an old post? Is there any news on this exciting project? G

Latest Hasegawa releases in UK- Sea Hurri twinpack, Mossie etc!
Edge replied to tonyot's topic in Aircraft WWII
I did exactly that but had to pay UK tax plus the Post Office's usual £8 handling fee. Be warned! -
Really like this - great idea, beautifully modelled.

Hi Steve. You can also get E Z Line from Models R Go. Great service and when I bought a reel of the fine line they sent a small sample of the thicker one.

Jaguars & Jet Provosts at Cosford- not in the museum
Edge replied to noiseboy's topic in Real Aviation
On occasion you can see and hear them taxiing from the museum car park. You'll need to stand at the top of the grass bank to get a decent view though! -
I don't normally 'do' armour but I have a bit of a soft spot for desert stuff (think it must have been something I read in either Victor, Battle or Commando books/comics!) That's a really impressive build with masses of detail - I see something new every time I look.

Great collection of beautifully made models! Reminds me of how good looking (and slightly mean) the Phantom was!

Makes me want to make a start on mine!

Seems as though there a a few of us looking to turn this into a T.22! Picked up mine on Saturday and will make a start when the Hawk's finished.......

1/72 British heavies - leader & follower. I wondered if that was a reference to an air to air refuelling kinda thing?

Stunning work on a tiny kit! I'm following in awe.
