  1. I'd be happy to pre-order if it helped.
  2. Hi Colin. Just checking progress on the Wasp & hoping she sees light of day soon!
  3. Sorry to bring to life an old debate, but there's a brilliant book about flying that has a major section on flying the Beaver from the Radfan. It's called 'Think Like A Bird' by Alex Kimbell. In my opinion it ranks alongside Geoffrey Wellum's autobiography as one of the very best pieces of literature on flying. In it the author does a great job of describing how he flew on & off HMS Albion which you may find interesting, plus there are good, clear photographs of his landing approach. It's fired to me have a go at the old Airfix kit of the Beaver, but they seem to be nigh-on extinct!!
  4. Been looking at this set for a couple of weeks. Thanks for the info in the review - really interesting.
  5. Try Mr Hobby self levelling thinner. Works a treat!
  6. Fantastic!!! Now where can I get a T.8M conversion in 1/72?!!!
  7. Hi Jeff I think Aoshima produced a kit of the Frogeye. Hope this helps

    Iwata Airbrushes

Hi Rick, the parts are listed on Airbrushes.com at £40.84 for the 0.3mm set. I'll have to save up!
  9. Hi Ian. I'm sure your build is what persuaded me to buy the Falcon conversion & Hasegawa Neptune that are gathering dust in my office! Good look with the site & particularly the book!

I've also got a CR & building 1/72 aircraft I find the 0.5 mm nozzle too large for all but large areas. I'm planning on getting a 0.3 mm set up but as Rick says it's an expensive way to go....... Fortunately I picked up the CR airbrush & mini jet compressor (both new) for £90 through a local advert!
  11. Really nice job there. Nice to see an unusual FAA subject being modelled.
  12. Used to have a Classic Airframes Walrus before one of my purges! IIRC they also did a separate decal sheet for the Walrus too.
  13. Great news Colin! I'll certainly be putting my money where my mouth is & ordering!
  14. That's great as I imagine the camera shroud may have been removed from some MR aircraft.
  15. Excuse my ignorance, but might this have the later type rear turret and/or flash thing (sorry!) al-la Maritime Reconnaisance aircraft?
  16. Beautiful Lancaster. Looks great in that scheme, it's one I have in my enormous to-do pile!
  17. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/HD337ZD?utm_campaign=Airfix_Newsletter_03_187204&utm_medium=Email&utm_source=CM_hornby-airfix Spotted on Hyperscale, hope that's ok? Hornby looking for feedback with a your chance to ask nicely for your wants..........
  18. I' ve been waiting almost a year for 2 items I ordered & paid for. I received one Email from the proprieter, otherwise stony silence. So whilst I agree that the resin he had on the website was appealing & probably much in demand for modelers of British subjects, the poor customer service means you're unlikely to see any of the goodies you order. I'm hoping either Freightdog or A2Z pick up some of the subjects covered by o & o as both these guys are able to offer great quality upgrades at a reasonable cost in a timely fashion.
