Spitfire STGB in Memory of Edgar Brooks chat
Edge replied to mhaselden's topic in Edgar Brooks Memorial Group Build
I'd certainly be in for this one. -
Surely in this age of digital & physical security worries, having the PM, senior politicians and Royals using equipment with trusted communications equipment as well as the added safeguard of it being a part of the UK's armed forces must be a good thing?

Maritime Patrol including Coastal Command GB Chat
Edge replied to dazdot's topic in Maritime Patrol and Coastal Command GB
I'd like to play if it gets the OK. Plenty of Coastal Command types in the stash. -
Best of luck with this one Ali, and I'm hoping that one of the small UK manufacturers you mention pick up on this as I'm sure there's a market for 1's and 4's.

Blackbird Avro Manchester Mk.I (Airfix Lanc conversion)
Edge replied to woody37's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
Thanks for responding & great news on the Neptune! Arrgh & a Lerwick too - spotted it on the website & took a sharp intake of breath! I have the Contrail vacform hiding away somewhere, but a new kit is most welcome! I saw that you were about to release the ex Silver Wings Southamptons too (which I used to have), lovely kits. I have to save hard but I'll be having one of each.- 405 replies

Blackbird Avro Manchester Mk.I (Airfix Lanc conversion)
Edge replied to woody37's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
That looks like a lovely set of resin & based on your Lincoln a fantastic looking Manchester will result. Here's hoping the Blackbird RAF Neptune conversion is just as good & not far away.- 405 replies

Can I get my hopes up that your looking to master a conversion for either of the two new mould Shackletons Ali?
-
What a truly brilliant result. I am in absolute awe!

Not a group builder myself but I certainly like to follow many of them. So Mish, I appreciate the work that you've put in & thanks to all those who do contribute so much of their time, effort and knowledge.
-
Yes I did! Forgot all about it until you mentioned it.

Lovely job Michael. I have the FAA version tucked away as, like you, this was the least likely version Airfix would release.

Thanks for all your advice (and Tony OT too!) Clear sprue here we come! Edge

Hi I'm trying to work out if FAA Corsairs with the 'clipped' wing tips had identification lamps fitted? I've just sliced the necessary from a 1/72 Tamiya kit I'm working on, which means the original moulded detail for these lamps has gone. Did the original modifiers fit other lamps inboard, or did they do without? Thanks Edge

Love the Trigger's broom analysis - really made me chuckle!

A 1/24 version would sit very nicely next to their Typhoon. Also wonder if some of the Typhoon tooling could be used as the Fury was a development of the line?

1/72 - Dassault Falcon 10 resin kit by FSC Dujin - released
Edge replied to Homebee's topic in The Rumourmonger
Thank chaps. I'll have a look for the Mach 2 kit, although the scare stories I've read about some of their other kits does put me off! -
1/72 - Dassault Falcon 10 resin kit by FSC Dujin - released
Edge replied to Homebee's topic in The Rumourmonger
Excuse my stupidity, but does anyone know if the Falcon 10 is close enough to the 20's operated by FRADU to pass muster? -

Beautiful work. Impossible to believe it's 1/72! -

Bloomin' fantastic (sorry about the pun)! -
Thanks for the info Ed. I've been waiting for the RAF version for an eternity so it's quite disappointing to hear that it's unlikely to see the light of day. I guess the length of time it's been sat as a future release should have given me a big clue about that! I already have one of your Mariner GR1 conversions and am on the look out for a kit to go with it. It's a quality piece of work & I'm sure the Empire class boat will be equally impressive.

Very nice Ed. CMR have had the armed versions in their future release list for years. I'm sure this will look very nice next to a Sunderland.
