  1. I would suggest Revell 65 or Humbrol 75. Both are Deep Bronze Green but are in matt form only. Most green goddess fire appliances of the 1960,s were gloss colour. If this is what your looking for then the best option i would say is to use matt and a light spray of Klear or some form of lacquer. I hope this is of some help to you. Tim
  2. The wreckers come into my work site on a regular basis. We had a tanker in today and i forgot my camera.
  3. I was in p+s models ,, walmgate ,, york the other day and she told me they sold plasticard in 4ft by 2ft sheets to shipbuilders. They also have a shop in scarborough. Hope this is of help to you.
  4. Very nice scratchbuild well done
  5. Thats the exact volvo tractor i am building so i need to source some decals inc reg numbers. Also where can i get amber beacons for the roof. This build will be in 1.24 scale. This is one build i am looking forward to completing.
  6. Hi fellow modellers,,, i am in the process of doing a 1.24 scale volvo fh12 4x2 in royal air force livery. I will also be putting the revell low loader on the 5th wheel. Now my dilemma:- Does anyone know where i can source the decals,, raf roundel , the union jack but most important the raf reg number. I would be extremely gratefull for any help. Many thanks Tim from wetherby
  7. First of all mate, well done for setting your sights high on the m1070. I have been saving for ages for this kit but being out of work progress is slow. Don,t be frightened of the kit, take your time and build it a nice steady section at a time. If you rush it you are sure to make mistakes. Its best to take a long time to build it for results you want. I too am not in any league as some of the modellers on most of the forums and have rushed through kits but since spending good money on quality kits, i feel that i am getting better. Also dont skimp and scrape on tools and glues like i did. Good luck with your build and i will be looking forward to your build progressing. Edit:- http://www.24thscalemodeltruckforum.co.uk/...hp?topic=2109.0 Have a look at this build Many thanks,, Tim
