  1. Hi Tom, I hope you are keeping well. It's a shame SMW has been cancelled this year and we don't have a chance for a catch up.

    Regards,

    Nigel

Hi Nigel. Yes it is a shame. I was looking forward to meeting up with you guys. Am in the process of moving home, hence I have not been active on Britmodeller. But I finally move into my new home tomorrow so will be back on the forum with a vengeance!

  2. Hey, Spadgent, thanks for following me. That is very kind of you.

  3. Hi Jamie,

The new job is going well thanks. I'm missing the AMS meetings though. Good luck with the committee role, I found it was good fun. I might make it to Telford, are you planning to go?

    Cheers,

    Nigel

      Hi Nigel,

Yes I'm taking most of the club stuff in the pickup truck and will be on the club table for the weekend. I hope to see you there.

I'm pleased the new job is a good fit :)

      All the best,

      Jamie

  4. Hi Dermot,

Jason Bsaid I should have a look at your pod racer build but I can't seem to track it down. Any chance of sending me a link to it?

    Best Regards,

    Nigel

      Hi Nigel,

Sure thing and here it is..from the Sci Fi GB last year..

      Podracer Build

To be honest, I took some short cuts when doing the control rods in order to get it finished in time for the GB.. Where the cables meet the engines and the pod itself are very fragile and the plastic pod pieces aren't really designed for long-term display as I have it. Having said that, she's survived a house move and the weekend show on our club table, with lots of little hands being a bit curious!

I also used most of the kit parts for the engines and pod where better modellers than me will probably replace these with metal tubing or rod...

If I can be of any further help at all, just shout. Would love to see someone of your talent take on a kit like this!

      Cheers,

      Dermot

  5. Hi Ced, I hope you are still well under these difficult times. I look forward to hearing from you. Nearly 60,000 likes, that's bonkers.

I am most encouraged that you are liking my Bristol build so far.
