  1. Hopefully see it when at Download this year
  2. Trouble is the cost at £50 plus the £20-£30 for the donor kit. If money was no object then great choice Homebee
  3. I have to admit the last airshow I went to at North Weald was with the Harrier display team in '94' and it was very well organised especially for us working the flight line side of things
  4. I'm sure my old man had a Maxi in that colour
  5. Just seeing those pictures of the mini gun, takes be back to my days in the armoury at Odiham. Great build and following with great interest
  6. Yep, but remember to tighten the locknuts and lockwire them
  7. All you're missing on those tanks are the anti yaw spigots but so much better than the kit ones Shaun
  8. Having been an engineer on the Harrier OCU where we were 50/50 RAF/Navy it was mickey taking all day long and never a harsh word always a good laugh.
  9. Following this with interest as I am going to be building this for a friend, whos grandfather worked at the supermarine factory during the war.
  10. We would normally walk up the wing it was far easier and then slide down the wing to get down. This slightly more dangerous when the aircraft was wet
  11. Don't normally buy airliners but will get this to go on this years download shrine shame it's an old mold
  12. Some great stories coming out here and modelling of course. As the only times I have been in an Albert other than being evacuated from Cyprus during the little spat between Greeks and Turks was down the Falklands. And the guys were always happy to take us on a jolly with a bit of ramp walking and on occasions maybe a sit in the co drivers seat thrown in .
  13. If this is speed tape T7 have used this to patch up a hole cause by a pterodactyl (Seagull) in a Harrier wing just to get it home. Or in good old liney speak "it will do a trip"
  14. No worries Mike taken as it was meant . It means about one a month next year it's a shame I don't build them at that rate so the stash will grow yet again
  15. I think Airfix have at least one new release we all would/want to add to our stash, but this topic will all start again in just over a month. So more fun thinking, speculating on future releases all over again. Me there are at least 9 I will purchase from next year's releases so let's start speculating all over again.
  16. Guys I know what the new announcement will be 1/48 Harrier GR3 I think I might need to wake up an smell the coffee just dreaming again
  17. So General you're the chap who I see jumping up and down outside the office when I drive past to the sports hall when dropping my son off.
  18. If it was a ex/RAF techie no type of measuring implement needed, calibrated eyeball and toe cap issued as standard
  19. Very nice. The photo's almost look like a drawing which I do like. Top job
