  1. Lovely! I remember these flying out of Manston too - I lived only a few miles away and they were always buzzing around. Cheers Malcolm
  2. At last I can see the pictures - I had to upgrade the OS on my Mac but it was about time I did that anyway! And it is indeed, as many have said, a lovely piece of work on what is a very old kit. I too had one of these when it was new and it was a nightmare for my dad and I to make something half decent out of. It never looked in any way as good as this one though - exceptional work Marcus Cheers Malcolm

  4. Beautiful Caravelle Einar - a stunning model of a beautiful aeroplane. Looks wonderful in those markings too! Cheers Malcolm
  5. Well it looks pretty darn good from here Pete - a great effort for someone who hasn't built for a long time. Cheers Malcolm
  6. Darn it! I wish I could see the post but I don't see anything at all - no pictures, no SpacerPNG, no nothing - I wish I could because I loved this kit as a kid. Oh well..........I'm sure it's great Cheers Malcolm
  7. Beautiful work as usual Mathy. Looks an impressive kit - though I wish the Tomcatters still flew Tomcats! Cheers Malcolm
  8. Absolutely beautiful Bf 110 Tolga. Superb build and detailing followed by sensational finish and weathering. Very very impressive and inspirational - I have one to build myself. Cheers Malcolm
  9. Utterly stunning model from the very old Frog derived kit! Exceptional detailing and finish - it really is superb. Well don! Cheers Malcolm
  10. Another lovely Viggen Jan. A spectacular scheme too! Cheers Malcolm
  11. Lovely result Simon, nice build, detail and weathering - really like the pilot. I like your colours too - they look right to my eye based on the many bits of crashed examples I have seen over the years - I would hazard a guess at Mr Hobby H72/73 for the topsides? I built one of these a while back and agree - a nice Kit. The only thing I don't like, aside from the horrible plastic which Airfix use, is the treatment of the wing trailing edges (as mentioned also by Josip) - It's about time that Airfix came into the 21st Century and designed kits in the way the likes of Tamiya and Eduard do to give a sharper result. Nice collection of B of B types coming along there too - probably a Bf 109E for the opposition? but I guess also that a Defiant will be on the cards? Cheers Malcolm
  12. A really nicely built and finished Jan - Love it. I like you advice about Chromate Yellow - I will look at that myself in the future. Love the Viggen and we miss it at airshows here in the UK. I would love a Viggen in my collection - how was the Special Hobby kit to build? If I build one I will probably finish mine in a grey scheme - way less masking! Cheers Malcolm
  13. Not my scale but that is a stunning result Libor - beautifully detailed and finished! Cheers Malcolm
  14. Certainly worth the effort Pete - that looks excellent! Great finish and lovely subtle weathering. Cheers Malcolm
  15. LOL! Thank you Russ - I will give brush painting a go for metallics some time - I have done some experimenting in the past with some success. Cheers Malcolm
  16. Beautiful build and finish as usual Russ On the subject of using Humbrol 191 and 11 - I have never been very successful at spraying these - always seem to end up with a very grainy looking finish. Would be interested how you achieve your finish. Cheers Malcolm
  17. Stunning job CF. Beautifully built and weathered. Extremely convincing and superb photography too! Cheers Malcolm
  18. Very nice looking Tonka - very nice build and finish quality. Nicely done weathering too. Looks great in the scheme! Cheers Malcolm
  19. Cool! Neat conversion work and the Herk looks great in that scheme! Well done! Cheers Malcolm
  20. Wow! Beautiful Tomcat Barzin - lovely build quality and your colours look really convincing. And what a super collection you have built! So what will be next? Perhaps an F-4D to keep the F-4E company? Cheers Malcolm
  21. Cool looking Spitfire Dmitry and some interesting additional information. thanks! Cheers Malcolm
  22. Really excellent build and finish. Realistic weathering and convincing metal areas. Great model!!! Cheers Malcolm
  23. Not my scale at all but that is a stunningly beautiful model of a beautiful aeroplane. Superb detailing and outstanding finish just add to the quality. I am very impressed! As a matter of interest - have Authentic Airliners disappeared? - I have been unable to get to their website for a few days. Cheers Malcolm
