  1. following this, as I was thinking of doing this kit as Desert storm mig-eater recently Want to see how it turns out
  2. Hi peeps 2014 coming closer and curious if anyone knows what Revell are going to bring us in regards to new tools and maybe re-issues etc. I've seen their first quarter releases and know about the 1/48 tornado and 1/32 spit but recently they seem to add a 1/72 bomber, ei Lancaster, b-17 and Halifax in recent times alone with a big 1/32 project (Eurofighter, he-111, he-219 ju-88 etc.) know some of their kits haven't been quite right, problems with the Halifax for example, but their prices are hard to beat. Kind if hoping they might have a pop at a new tooled Avro Shackleton in 1/72 or maybe a 1/32 Henschel Hs-129 to coincide with their 1/32 WWII Luftwaffe subjects which would be awesome!!! What you peeps think?
  3. Looks like you got your on the workbench before me. Looks pretty dam good, its such a nice kit Looks like you got your on the workbench before me. Looks pretty dam good, its such a nice kit
  4. amazing work there, one of my favourite lightning schemes. I have this kit in the stash and if it turns out even 10% as good as yours i'll be happy. That is a fantastic result, legendary
  5. I think its the case that, they see a subject that needs re tooling so they go and create the kit only for another manufacturer to be doing the same thing. Maybe I might be spoilt and get 2 new tooled Shackletons in the near future
  6. Purchased yesterday from my local model shop T7 Models. After opening the box my current project was cleared from the modelling table and this amazing kit is now on the workbench. Anyone fancy a race to finish one
  7. I'ld like to see revell have a pop at a new tool Shackleton. Some needs to take heed that an aircraft that saw 35 years service in the royal airforce has only been tooled once over 40 years ago
  8. shopping around you can still find the kit cheaper new, I've seen it around £40 new on eBay since the release, though its not there now. I recently sold my old kit for £50 on eBay before I even knew about the re-release. Tbh my first thought of £50 did seen a little steep, but then looking at kits like the Eurofighter, he-111, he 219 and ju 88 they all retail for £30-£60. Shop around, you maybe get a better deal online
  9. Can't wait for the Blenheim's, cash aside for those indeed. Lightning F-6 yes please Dakota i'll take one of those But where's my Shackleton
  10. What an inspiring result. Had a peep into the box of this kit today at my local model shop, and was tempted to part with my £30 cash Your build has most likely now cost me £30, in a good way
  11. That the Revell kit John? If so that's a dam bargin
  12. I'll join in for this one, just need to decide what to build, maybe something unusual for me to spend some xmas cash on.
  13. I'll be signing up for this, might try and do something with one of those hobby boss kits, see if I can get a good result from one of those
  14. Hobbyboss recently released a RF-80A Shooting Star, the photo recon version. The exact aircraft with the in box markings is among those photos Radleigh, thanks for those photos, So I think I've got an idea of what I'll be building.
  15. I'm in for this GB, and already have some cheap kits in the stash
  16. Going through my options at the moment, I'm quite tempted to build the 1/48 Italeri spitfire mk. IXc as the beer truck version. Just reading through references to see if this kits qualifies as a D-day build.
  17. That's a stunning build, I built the original trumpeter 1/32 version about 6 years ago now, and I had so much trouble getting the colours right, back then I was using revel enamels. Can I ask which kit is this and what scale?
  18. After reading this myself I do feel that a line may have been crossed, I come to the RFI forums to check out members builds, and quite disappointed not to be abled to see the images of what must have been a great build judging from the first few comments. Mish, don't listen to or read posts by these people any more, and please keep posting your builds, some I've seen have been great and it would be a big loss for other members not to see your work my 2 cents
  19. Painting and decals is awesome, but I agree with last comment its does look like the undercarriage is coming unglued under the weight of the kit
  20. Thinking of doing a helicopter kit to branch off from my WWII kits, I've heard hasegawa's is ok, possible raise panel lines from pictures I've seen. I also know revell do one and so do AFV club and academy. Which would you recommend?
  21. Very odd choice of subject since Italeri are releasing a what seems a good kit. There would be some better aircraft that would have been worth a try
  22. I knew i forgot to do something, will get the weathering powers on it tonight and hope for some better shots cheers Saddler
