thepureness replied to thepureness's topic in Less than a Tenner Group Build
Pave Low is stalled at the moment and hope to start soon. Very limited work done so far. Other work stalled the build -

I followed the build thread and I can ultimately state that this is a work of art, I also only reserve one comment for builds that I believe is worthy of it, and this one is indeed one worthy of the legendary status. This just looks so good, it's made me grab the kit out of the stash for a good look and might even start it this weekend. -

Much need doing to the kit from box to make it up to an Irish corps aircraft. Just picked this up for £8 plus P&P off eBay, Not too interested in the decals/version in the box.- 66 replies

The Italeri kit can be sourced for under £60 if you know where to look btw, which is not too bad for a 1/32 kit

Tamiya acrylics Alex, they are not too bad at all I've not tried the Trumpeter one as of yet, but i'd hope they did a better job on the clear parts. fit overall is not bad, no struggles I can think of at all. -
Hi everyone, Recently just finish my latest project for the training type group build, where you'll see my WIP for this build. Here is the finished result. Decals are a little tough to settle, but soon after some solution settled down better. The original clear parts were broken in the box and replaced by Revell but have a nasty seem straight down the middle of the canopy parts, a little annoying to remove. but i'm please with the results, especially since its all painted in Tamiya acrylics. even the metal.

Well guys, This is now finished. Here is a picture and the rest will be on the completed page. Clear parts are a pain with this one, large seem down the middle of 3 of the main parts, after clearing up I still decided to open the canopies

what inspirational story. Myself I have been blessed with 2 daughters and with having no son to share my hobbies with I'd imagine my girls would be into dolls, make up and high heels when they get to 11. This goes to show, maybe one day, I might too be building kits with my daughters.

I like that, anyone got an idea of the RRP -
Its quite interesting, i've just checked a review of the kit and the decals in that picture have the same effect
-
down fall to that is I would not be able to return the item, But that's an option I'll probably have to take
-
Recently purchased a kit that I've been looking to get my hands on and the decals seem to have some issues, not quite sure what it is, don't recall ever seeing this effect. Here is a picture Is it a printing error, or damaged or some way, or are they perfectly fine and this ripple effect will go away once applied. Thanks in advance for any help.

Revell 2014, any idea's of whats to come?
thepureness replied to thepureness's topic in The Rumourmonger
Revell are quite poor this year, that's for sure, tornado and spitfire will be my only purchases. really need to pull their finger out soon, very disappointing. -
Academy CH-53E, first full build on Britmodeller
thepureness replied to thepureness's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
unfortuantly this one's been canceled now and sold the kit on due to space -
Hi everyone, I would like to show my first kit for the less than a Tenner build. I'm planning on getting maybe 1 or 2 more builds done for this GB as due to head in for surgery in February and going to need some time off before going back to work, so will have modelling to stop me getting bored. This is the Revell boxing of Italeri's older MH-53J Pave Low III. I picked this up off eBay for £9.05 which I felt was not a bad price at all. Although the attractive colors and markings of the box art aircraft look really smart, there is an option to build an aircraft based at RAF Mildenhall which i'm going to go for. This is also going to be my first helicopter build for over 5 years, so coming out of the comfort zone for sure. Here she is.

D-Day 70th Anniversary Group Build
thepureness replied to AnonymousDFB1's topic in Future Group Build Archives
Fantastic news, that's for the support Ultimate Modelling Products. Had a good think about what to go for with the build, was just checking out aircraft while drinking beer, and it hit me (not the beer). What about a Spitfire IXe beer carrier. Eduard or Italeri me thinks, does this qualify as a D-day build, its got the strips -
Thats a nice Jag, wish I had the skills to pull it off
