Hi everyone. Only twelve days to go until the GB starts and I've got some great news on the prizes for the GB I've discussed this with Russ @JadlamRacingModels today and the prizes will be awarded in a 1st, 2nd and 3rd format. First prize will be the new Revell Battle of Britain gift set. This also includes the brand new JU-88 A-1 kit in 1/72 scale plus kits of a Spitfire, Hurricane and Ju-87 in the box. Second prize is the new Revell 1/48 Farewell Tornado GR.4 kit And finally third prize is the Revell 1/72 Eurofighter RAF British Legends edition. This works out at just over £75 worth of prizes for the GB and will hopefully encourage more people to take part. If anyone still needs the Revell 1/72 Hawk Jadlam still have them available for £8.95 including UK post. I hope everyone likes this update

I've had a few emails from people asking if they can join the GB. Anyone can join regardless. We just need an initial amount for the GB to go ahead which we had within a couple of days. I think we are going to see upwards of 30 builds here potentially now. Looking forward to it but the more the Better

I've come up with a set of rules for the GB for when the Subject is decided. I'm going to list these below. * GB will run for six weeks from the 31st of October to the 14th of December. * This GB will be based on the (Kit once chosen) * After marker parts and decals are all permitted * With the aim of the GB being creative we will allow "what Ifs" The reason for this is to allow the builder some creative licence. Something we didn't permit in the last GB but want to add to this one. * The GB is going to be sponsored by Jadlam Racing Models who will be providing a prize of which is TBC. * Anyone that requires the kit that we are building can order the kit directly from Jadlam at a discounted price * The voting system will not be in place and instead the sponsor will be choosing the winning build/s This is a rough set up but provisional and subject to change

Hi everyone I wanted to try and put together another GB and been trying to think outside the box for an idea I've not seen, a different style of theme. Model kits have been around for 70 years plus and we are possibly very close to the fact that some kits have been produced before most people were born. What I want to suggest is a GB where you need to build a kit that was first tooled before you were born, IE the kit is older than me. I'll use myself as example, I was born in the early 80s so I would need to find a kit that was first produced before that time. I know getting hold of some kits for some of the older generation might be hard but their is also the reboxes of the older kits which can be used, take airfix classics as an example for some of the older people. Also in order to protect peoples data, you don't need to disclose your ages unless you wish to on the post but the kit What do you think? To cater for the older generation they can build kits from the decade they were born (1950s) as some older kits can be difficult to get hold of unless re-issued
